Awful
Can’t log on and there’s zero customer support when I really need it. A nightmare.
Interface prevents Benefit Enrollment
The app is fundamentally broken and unusable with no UX to select your plan.
Unusable on old phone
Can’t get past setting password, confirmation button not on screen because of low resolution and can’t scroll down.
Broken, broken, broken
Accessing cards is rarely possible. You’ll be sent to a screen that endlessly loads. All the important pages, really, are broken. Communicating with an advocate is difficult through a glitchy text box, as you’re also unable to paste from outside sources. It’s a low empathy app, pure and simple. There have been no known patches to address these issues since I’ve been forced to use the app.

Sign in troubles
This app is the bane of my existence. My mother wants me to access our insurance information through this app however when I go to sign in it says I do not have an account, and then when I go to create an account it says that I already have an account under the information that I’ve input. Both things cannot be true. Fix it.

Login broken
Login in for app currently just takes you back to the login screen. No error, no message, no way to get my insurance numbers at the hospital.
Great app overall
One of the best workplace apps I've ever used. Genuinely impressed by the UI and ease of use
Cannot login
Even after resetting the password it doesn’t work
Pathetic buggy trash
"Something went wrong" every single time I try to access work life portal. Fire your overpaid engineers.
App keeps crashing
Every time I open the app it keeps crashing and it won’t even let me do anything because it shuts down right away
Does not work
Refuses to let you log in and gaslights you about your password. Worse than useless.
No Username Login
The mobile app only allows for employee email as a login. However, once an individual leaves a company, that work email is no longer valid, in which case the only avenue for logging in is on a desktop…makes this app otherwise useless to access critical documents after leaving a company.
New bug fix created bug
Love the app, but the most recent update has made it so the app crashes every time it’s opened. Does me no good if I can access any of the information!
SSO unusable
SSO requires in app browser which is blocked for any sso that has passkeys for good reason. As it stands, it is not possible to authenticate into the app if you have an sso and passkeys. Hopefully they fix this.
Data breach and bad interface
In addition to leaking all of my personal sensitive data in a breach, this app just generally is terrible. Want to search for a dentist? Here, inset within our app log in, is another log in for the normal Cigna site… so what do you do, exactly? Still unsure of Sequoia’s value after a few years with it.

Lost message, could be more useful
Was composing a message, switched to another app for a couple minutes, came back message was dropped. … annoying and bad ux.
I’ll give them a bit of a pass on benefits just being intentionally complex and bureaucratic to discourage and micromanage their usage, plus the whole insurance industry stacking middlemen on middlemen on terms and technicalities in pursuit of profits, but the app doesn’t do much to make any of that better.
E.g. you’re a dynamic app: why not surface FSA/HSA under both medical and tax savings tabs? Why not maintain the history of my past FSA accounts contributions and claims instead of yeeting them in the digital trash on March 31st.
I guess virtual health cards and easy to find account numbers are useful - two stars for that, but up your ux game and save messages as drafts don’t drop them.

Unacceptable user experience / UI
The information architecture of this app is terrible. It is hard to find what you are looking for. Each page is slow to load. You need to login each time you open the app. They have some confusing features like Rightway that complicates the user experience further. It takes 3-5 clicks to find/do anything useful.

Security?
Apple doesn’t recognize that the password field is a password. I have to manually enter it each time. It’s rather frustrating and makes me concerned that it’s a possible security issue. If Apple doesn’t recognize it as a password it’s probably not taking necessary steps to make sure it secure.
Why an App? Slimy and gross
Why can’t I just use the website to get my ID cards? There’s no reason besides slimy marketing and data gathering. I hate companies that force you to have their bloat and data skimmers on your phone for basic operations. I will never raise the stars of this review until I am no longer forced to use the app to access my benefits info.

On the iPhone I can’t see the field to type in my work email
Otherwise, all is well with Sequoia so far!
