Update = inconvenience

The new update removed the ability for connected accounts to have nicknames. This is decidedly inconvenient. I have a half dozen accounts I divvy payments to every day. I now have to memorize either the order in which they appear in the app (which also cannot be edited) or the individual account numbers. A simple fix would substantially streamline the UI.

Can’t transfer money

I have money in my balance and it won’t let me transfer money to my bank account, or add card to apple wallet. Now took my bank account off my account and will not let me add it back. You guys need to work on customer service because I can’t seem to find a contact for ANYBODY TO HELP.

Gave up my bank account

I no longer keep my money in my business bank account. I make all purchases, pay vendors and contractors through my Shopify balance app! The Shopify card is also super convenient. If I need to pay myself personally, I just add my personal bank information within my Shopify balance account and send payments to my personal bank account. The payments hit my account within 24 hours.
I’ve been meaning to open up a business bank account but Shopify balance makes it so hard to do so.

Too basic

Needs a lot more functions like any other bank account would. It’s so simple it takes a lot of value out of having the app.

It’s ok

App is ok… nothing spectacular… I just hate we can’t link to Zelle

Do not recommend

Complicated to used card or do transfers. Most places this card is not accepted.

Not workng

I have been trying to sign in for months. Not working. Just updated the app and still not working. The shopify app works on my phone but cant see my balance and this app never worked ! Its crazy for an app like Shopify to not be able to see my balance on my phone !! I wish I could give a 0 star

Don't understand all the negative reviews, this app works great.

Where’s my funds !? No answers communication is AWFUL ! Everyday I call or chat and nothing is done !

Why!!!???

Logs you out every other time

As someone else mentioned, you get logged out almost every time you try to open the app. Developers can’t you fix that? What’s the point of a “Face ID” login option if it never works?!
Other than that, it’s not clear why you need a separate app at all.

Constantly logged out

If you open this app you’ll be logged out of your Shopify store app every single time. So annoying. Horrible app

This app is a joke. There is no way to access reports or see history. The fees are also not explained or able to be discussed. No customer service option at all. I’m the dummy for signing up. 🫣

When it says ‘compatible with iPad’ and I get a phone screen, I immediately delete the app.

This may or may not be helpful (certainly very mixed reviews) but I might give it another try on my iPhone, but on my iPad- no Thank you.

Shopify’s new payout and banking process starting to feel like a scam

I’ve been signing up and building sites for clients on shopify for years. Payouts used to be seamless and very effecient. Recently they’ve changed their payouts to make new accounts to use shopifys own banking system by default. There are some nice features to their banking system, but most accounts don’t like using it. Specifically because it makes their bookkeeping more complicated. Switching out to customers own bank has turned into the biggest headache. It feels like they are purposely trying to make it difficult so you relent and use their system. Obviously they would prefer to keep your money on their books for financial purposes. So this just feels like shopify is turning into a scammy financial institution. I’ve contacted support many times to try and get one client’s payouts resolved with no luck, and this app just makes everything more complicated and doesn’t even work for my client. Stop trying to be a bank and just focus on the e-commerce, the thing you were actually good at.

Why?

Not sure why this has to be on a separate app. Should be part of the Shopify admin app. Don’t like that i have to have a completely separate app to check my balance.

Cancel pending orders clarify how long transfers take have an instant transfer method a lot of things need to be done be better

Doesn’t work on iPhone SE

Downloaded. Opened. It’s stuck on the Welcome page. Can’t scroll to click through.

Can't even log in since the keyboard wont even pop up to enter any information

Why?

This app has one job: transferring balances. It does that job successfully *maybe* 3 times out of 10. The other 10 times I end up having to log directly into the website and transfer it that way. Get rid of this thing.
