Easy To use pretty good customer service
I like this simple easy to use system. The installation at our complex was a little wonky and that we weren’t told until a day before and I came home and found a new device on my front door and my key no longer worked.
fortunately the staff at the leasing office had the SmartRent tax at the ready and they came up showed me how to use my door and thermostat functions and make sure everything worked just fine
The app is pretty easy to use, but it’s not as easy as I would’ve hoped when it comes to installing guest codes - it’s not intuitive so I’ll have to call Customer Service to remind me how I do that and it really shouldn’t require that to put a guest coat on and take a guest

Terrible terrible app
Worst app ever forced on to me
Arterra Apartments
The app is not working nor does it register locked for front door. It also does not register changed pin to open the front door. Fix bugs asap.
Logged out randomly
Been logged in for a year and woke up today and I was logged out automatically for the first time! Shame.
Disconnects often
My apartment complex installed this stuff it’s useless. I don’t like it. And now I have to deal with the fact that my once perfectly reliable non-smart thermostat is gone and I have to deal with a useless thermostat that turns off all the time in my apartment will get up in the 80s useless system. I recommend everyone throw it in the trash.

No way to contact
I would love to work the features of this application, but there is no one to contact no way to learn more. SmartRent doesn’t wanna talk to anybody. There’s so many features that are so cool that I would love to work with, but I can’t because no one wants to talk from SmartRent.
Useless
This app keeps signing me out even though I have all settings set to ‘stay signed in.’ Since this app is used in place of a keyfob, it is incredibly irritating to have to constantly sign in when I want to access different parts of my building.
App is terrible!!
I literally don't have a choice but to use this for my apartment. The app is terrible! 70% of the time the app times out and the functionality doesn't work.
Inconsistent and poor quality
My apartment used to use Nest and I never had any problems with my cooling/heating. Since the change to this system- it’s been horrible. My device will constantly become unconnected from the hub no matter what I do. The customer service has been overall unhelpful. I also feel like it does not regulate my temp as well as Nest did. I am spending/wasting more money than before. As far as the door locking, that’s not great either. My door will often jam for no reason whatsoever. I truly dislike this product and if I had my choice I’d go back to Nest in a heartbeat.

This app times out and gets a little slow sometimes y’all have to fix this
Wish I didn’t have to use this
It glitched repeatedly when I tried to create an account. It glitched when I tried to get the door code. It can’t find my Wi-Fi- it finally finds my Wi-Fi but won’t connect to it. It doesn’t change to the temperatures I set on the app’s schedule.

great when it works
been using this app for almost 4 years and the last 4 months have been full of issues. lock/unlock doesn’t work anymore. lights don’t work. if things do work, it’s a whole minute delayed. more of a hassle than anything now. have deleted and redownloaded twice and doesn’t help.
