Doesn’t do the job, my dinning light has been offline for 2 months with no resolve.
When you attempt to unlock entrance door, it takes forever (first it will say error, then when you try again it takes forever.

App integration
The app doesn’t work. When I unlock and lock the door the app doesn’t show when it opens or changes but the lock is working correctly. Need to update the app software.
Absolute trash
This app and device was created using the cheapest parts available on the market. From day one we experienced problems. The app worked okay for the first hour, and then it didn’t. Called customer support to get it back online, and that worked. An hour later it didn’t. The only time I can actually use this thing is if I call customer support and use it with the hour window of getting it back online. It’ll never stay connected for more than that. This last time I called support and now they can’t even help me get it on at all. Wish I could give zero stars. What an absolute frustrating experience to deal with.

Not accurate
I’m always getting an error message when I’m trying to lock my door, unlock it or control my heating and air …. My door always shows it’s unlocked on the home screen even if it’s locked and heating and air always shows off as well on the Home Screen. The only accurate information that is consistent is the entry and kitchen light.

A bs app that buildings force on you
Not worth it
I like having the SmartRent, it is definitely easy to use, but there is not a chance in hell it is worth the $60 per month that we get charged.

Malfunctioning constantly
I check that my door is locked before I leave. Later I go check the app and it’s saying that my lock is jammed and it keeps saying my door is unlocked.
I’m at work. I can’t just go home to verify that my door is locked. Keeps telling me my lights are “offline”. Happens randomly and very often.

Auto Gate
Not a good feature. Code number is to long to remember. Use the phone for access sometimes reads it sometimes it don’t. When it’s raining the inside of your vehicle and phone gets wet.
Easy To use pretty good customer service
I like this simple easy to use system. The installation at our complex was a little wonky and that we weren’t told until a day before and I came home and found a new device on my front door and my key no longer worked.
fortunately the staff at the leasing office had the SmartRent tax at the ready and they came up showed me how to use my door and thermostat functions and make sure everything worked just fine

Worst app ever forced on to me

The app is not working nor does it register locked for front door. It also does not register changed pin to open the front door. Fix bugs asap.
Logged out randomly
Been logged in for a year and woke up today and I was logged out automatically for the first time! Shame.
Disconnects often
My apartment complex installed this stuff it’s useless. I don’t like it. And now I have to deal with the fact that my once perfectly reliable non-smart thermostat is gone and I have to deal with a useless thermostat that turns off all the time in my apartment will get up in the 80s useless system. I recommend everyone throw it in the trash.

No way to contact
I would love to work the features of this application, but there is no one to contact no way to learn more. SmartRent doesn’t wanna talk to anybody. There’s so many features that are so cool that I would love to work with, but I can’t because no one wants to talk from SmartRent.
Useless
This app keeps signing me out even though I have all settings set to ‘stay signed in.’ Since this app is used in place of a keyfob, it is incredibly irritating to have to constantly sign in when I want to access different parts of my building.
