Order ahead
The last few times I’ve done a mobile order I cannot “check in.” It’s tells me that there are “technical issues” and I end up having to go through the drive thru. Please fix this
Nothing but issues
This isn’t the first review I’ve left and it probably won’t be the last. I’ve had nothing but issues with this app for years. Now it says I have to attach a phone number to my account. Ok that’s fine. When I try it says my phone number is already attached to some bogus email. It asks me if I want to attach it to mine instead. I select yes and it gives me an error over and over again. This has been the worst food app experience I’ve ever had.

No "scan at restaurant"
Have to place an order would rather go to drive through and scan at checkout for a deal
Literally the worst app ever
It takes me more time to order off the app than it takes me to drive to sonic, place an order, get my food and drive home. It’s not even worth it to the point I stopped eating at sonic for over a year … sad considering there’s only 2 other places to eat in my town.
60% of the time it works everytime
To get the discounts, you have to order through their app, which works if it feels like it. Sometimes it’ll process your payment, other times it’s not feeling it. I’ve left sonic in frustration many times & gone to McDonald’s or kfc instead.
Location required
If someone else picks up your order the app won’t allow you to check-in remotely. Other than that the app works well. But that one issue really makes it kinda bad overall
Made all 3 drinks wrong
I ordered my waters with real lemons they put lime juice in them.

Really easy to place orders, edit and check-in for pickup!
No option for easy ice
$4 after tax for a rt 44, but half of it is ice. I just won’t order drinks through the app anymore and only the drive through, taking up more of your employees time and costing you more money. Please fix it, give us an option to put easy or no ice on our drinks
Mobile order pickup
Please add a step that says “someone else is picking up my order”. I placed a mobile order for my husband to pick up on his way home but due to the fact i wasn’t close to the restaurant i couldn’t do the check in process.
No more 1/2 price drinks
Absolutely ridiculous, because dons can’t afford to sell drinks for “half price” gifts I’ll be going to circle K from now on. Drinks should never cost almost $5. What a rip off.
Slush
Why can you not pick any such flavor anymore I use to be able to get a lemonade slush now it’s not an option but they still serve at all sonics
Fix the Rewards feature please
I love the Sonic app, I use it at least once a week. When I go to order a drink and redeem my half price drink reward, I can no longer place the drink in my bag and then add the reward after. I have to scroll through on the reward, which would be fine except for the drink I try to order (a large strawberry lemonade) isn’t on that list. It’s just a lemonade and I have to add the strawberries, where we you don’t have to add the fruits when you want a limeade. All of that factored in with the fact that it’s not an organized list of drinks and sizes, so finding what you want is already difficult. That is all, I rest my case.

Doesn’t work
The app stopped working with the most recent update. You make a ticket and they say it’s your phone not them. They are not capable of actually finding the problem and blame everything else. I am able to order on every other app but sonic fix your app and stop placing blame on Apple.
Begging this app to let me use my gift cards
Not being able to combine gift cards OR spend a remaining balance that’s smaller than the cost of a meal OR pay in person using the mobile app is actually so embarrassing in 2026.
Barely ever works
This app is insanely unreliable, I get "sorry we’re having technical difficulties, try again later" nearly every order. This isn’t a new issue either, this error has persisted for years without any real solution.
