Terrible Experience - SG9982 - Delays at every step

The app works fine for taking your money, but the actual service is a nightmare. I recently flew SG9982 and it was a total failure in operations. We faced significant delays with boarding, a late departure, and an agonizingly slow de-boarding process. To make matters worse, waiting for baggage at the carousel took forever.
An airline app should provide a seamless travel experience, but SpiceJet fails on the basic promise of punctuality and efficiency. If you value your time, avoid this airline. The "suffering" isn't worth the ticket price. Fix your ground operations!

I am deeply saddened to share a distressing experience my wife and I endured during our recent journey on 11th February 2025, at 10:05 AM, from Srinagar to Delhi. The ground staff of SpiceJet subjected us to behavior that was not only rude but profoundly unprofessional. Their actions made us feel like mere objects of amusement, stripping away our dignity and peace. This aggressive treatment has left us emotionally scarred, and we are still grappling with the mental anguish it caused. Such encounters shatter one’s trust in the very services meant to provide comfort and safety. I will never travel with SpiceJet nor suggest it to any of my friends or relatives.

Terrible app

OTP doesn’t work, very very hard to use and takes an hour to do a simple task. Very unfriendly to use. Would never use again. I don’t understand how this company works

SpiceJet Review: Disastrous Experience, Exorbitant Fare, and Shocking Customer Neglect. If I could give SpiceJet a zero-star rating, I absolutely would. Not only did they leave my luggage behind because their plane was overloaded, but they also charged me an exorbitant ticket fare for this nightmare of an experience. I paid a premium price for what I expected to be a smooth flight, but instead, I’ve been left stranded for three days without my luggage — which contains crucial documents I need to submit to my college. SpiceJet has proven that they’re only interested in taking your money, not actually delivering any service.
The incompetence is staggering. No one at the airline thought it necessary to inform me that my luggage would be left behind because the plane was too heavy. It wasn’t until I got to baggage claim that I realized the mess they had caused. And now, I’ve been given no clear answers and no real sense of urgency to get my bag back, despite explaining that my documents are time-sensitive.
I’ve called customer service over and over, also visited airport to enquire about the luggage but all I’ve received are empty promises like “We’re working on it” or “It’s on the way loaded on priority etc..etc...” Two days later, there’s still no sign of my bag, and absolutely no one at SpiceJet seems to care about the real-world consequences of their negligence. They’ve offered no compensation, no apology, and no solutions. Just a lot of excuses.
To make matters worse, I was charged a ridiculous fare for this level of incompetence. Paying such an inflated price for a flight that resulted in this much stress, frustration, and mishandling is insulting. SpiceJet is a rip-off when it comes to both service and price, and their customer care is a joke.
I will never fly with SpiceJet again, and I strongly advise anyone considering this airline to think twice. If you want to waste money, lose your baggage, and get zero support, then SpiceJet is your airline. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and book with an airline that actually values its customers.

SpiceJet is scam

I booked a return SpiceJet flight from Goa to Delhi. Just 1 week before my flight I was told the flight had been cancelled and to book another flight. AND there was no other direct flight from the same airport to Delhi on that day.
Was forces to book flight from another airport and had to cut short by trip by 3 hrs to get a direct flight
I reach airport to take a flight and get to know flight has a halt in Pune. Nowhere on the ticket its mentioned.
Company over charged me for a ticket, cancelled it just few days prior and did not give required options as substitute, misinformed me on my next booking. Company is dysfunctional and is now forced to cheat customers to make money

Missing a lot of things and too many bugs

Firstly very basic features like Adding Boarding Pass to Apple Wallet, Secondly there are too many bugs which make your booking disappear or the boarding pass, one cannot rely on the app for last minute boarding showing.

Tickets if booked via third party should automatically show up if phone number or email is matching.

Missing a lot of things in comparison to other airlines.

Worst Airline

By far the worst domestic airline available. Customer Service is absolutely garbage and the attendants and staff are B grade. Airline is known for delays and ripping people for extra luggage charges.

Faulty system

It's very upsetting when you pay so much and the app cannot issue you your tickets, requiring you to do the check in at the airport. The app continues to ask for a mandatory Pin Code which I haven't been provided with nor do I know what it could be. There's a lot of room for improvement

Say NO to SpiceJet

If anyone of you have got SpiceJet tickets in advance be careful if your ticket for
Luggage allowance shows 30kg to Mumbai
They have revised it to 25kgs. From 5th June to 15th July without any notification to ppl who purchased in advance.

I travelled by SpiceJet last week and
191 passengers waiting for checkin and only two counters open when I reached airport at 2.15pm - Flight timing was 4pm.

They opened the 6 checkin counters when it was nearing boarding time and told passengers 25kg is allowed so everyone panicked as flight time was nearing and ppl did not want to miss the flight most of them paid and moved on.

I had 29 on checkin baggage and as per ticket was 30. They asked me to push 3-4 kgs to my hand luggage which I did hesitatingly as my hand luggage allowance would exceed. But they said no one will ask you to pay at the boarding gate.

At the boarding gate when I reached they asked me to pay for 7 kgs including my duty free shopping as my hand luggage was 15kgs

I had a big argument with them and towards the end did win over them.

But 90% of the passengers paid extra 5kgs for check in or paid at the boarding gate.

There was not enough supplies of Food & Beverage as whatever we asked for was not available that too on payment basis. The staff were not cooperative at all and refused to give food (on payment basis) to a senior citizen (who wanted to break her fast) as they would serve meals to pre booked passengers first.

SpiceJet has operational issues but What a harassment and what way to get money from passengers. Totally unacceptable.

I will never travel by this airline in future.

My worst experience with spice jet and recommend dont travel with spice jet

I had a bad experience with spice jet the staff at the airport thay bluff and sold my confirm ticket to the other passengers and i was travelling with my family and I requested a lot to checkin and the staff simply denied and said sorry we cant help and they issued the ticket by not mention the terminal number and it mentioned NA instead of terminale number and i have to purchase the new ticket of airindia express which cost me 50 thousand for one way and the spice jet dosent have a proper ivr system witch could not connect me to the operator i advise to the other passengers never travel with spice jet

Worst Airline Company

I got my flights cancelled during COVID. They kept account in wallet. After 3 years when tried to check they deleted my account. It took 2 months to get that refund of which they deducted few amount. Now they are not even allowing to signup with my email or number. For the new bookings they didn’t even shared boarding pass even after web checkin. Also no way to connect customer care. On dialing the number no on speaks and it gets disconnected. This is really getting worse with time.

Employees Harrassing a single mother

The biggest scammer of this decade is Spicejet airlines.
They have been at the top of harassing my wife, a mother of two year old who was travelling alone from delhi to mumbai.
This is what she said while
Crying,

‘First of all they broke my baby's pram which was the only way to make him travel with ease at the airport and I didn't had to carry him throughout. But they broke it, in their careless handling. I had to get the compensation of the inconvenience caused so i complained and they gave me a form to fill. Which took 30 mins, handling my baby and all the luggage, i had to go through this. Who ever from spicejet airlines is reading this, i need the complete compensation of harassment i had to go through at the airport. Else, i am taking it to consumer court and my husband is from media, he will spread your reality like a wild fire.’

Looting hard earned money

I booked ticket on spicejet airlines, the flight was delayed for more than 5 hrs (nothing new with spicejet).
I cancelled the booking, they are not refunding the payment done for the seat booking while web checkin.
They don’t have anyone who can address the concern. They only give customer relation email to which they will reply sam content everytime, nobody at spicejet is even trying to understand the concern.
Their flight service is bad, flight timing is bad, customer relation and service is bad, even management (nodal team) is sitting idle and doing nothing, better to go for other airlines.

Pathetic flight. Still waiting for flight since last night with my two years daughter

I am here complaining about flight no. SG 8130
PNR, FYQ NPP and J8Qz3f which is first delayed and then cancelled without any information. I am travelling with my two years daughter and i work with Delhi govt and my Brother is in CISF, My husband works with bank. We three had to join today at our respective offices but due to your misconduct with your travellers are very pathetic and in human. They simply told me to go and come for other flight which was scheduled again after 17 hours. Don’t forget that i am travelling with my daughter. They even didn’t ask me for water. I know you have lounge facilities for your travellers. My daughter was crying and i took her to a nearby hotel, they charged me like hell. I am suffering here at airport. Again your 1.40 PM flight is delayed what to do. Should I complain at higher level for your incorporation?? Reply

So bad

Don’t even try to book a flight if you don’t have an English keyboard on your MacBook as it won’t recognize the numbers. You’ll have to type them somewhere else in your desktop or safari or anywhere and then copy paste them in their website. Yes in 2024 you still have to do that like there’s no other keyboards on earth.
Same on the app. Impossible to type my phone number but there even if you copy past it there’s no way. So impossible to crates an account cause even if after a long headache you manage to copy paste your phone number on their website (only on a laptop not on the app cause forget the app its useless) then you will never ever ever ever receive the OTP. So there’s actually no way to sign up.

Pathetic service

Pathetic service i ever i had in my life.. this is my second time i booked this flight.. 1st time also not good .. its my bad decision to book this flight.. i will not even give one star. I purchased priority checkin.. when i went to priority checkin gate they said its only for spicemax but i can see it was written priority checkin gate .. he doesn’t know even anything and he told me to stay in a long queue .. when i came to boarding.. another assistant told u already purchased priority checkin. After i took long queue.. i will never book this flight.. very much assumed that they doesn’t know about their service..

Worst Airline with worst service

Please don’t ever book a flight with this airline. SpiceJet has no respect for their customers. I flew from Dubai to Mumbai on flight number SG 014, it’s been more than a day and I still haven’t gotten my luggage. They said that they will send my luggage to my home and it will reach by evening the same day. But now more than 27 hours has passed and I still haven’t received even an update regarding the same. They even shared a contact number which no one picks up. They will lose your luggage and will not take any responsibility for it.
