Never again
I’m severely disappointed. I’ve had an issue with parking spots on this app every time I’ve booked. Once the spot wasn’t even available and I had to go park elsewhere. The second time our car was broken into and most recently we were locked out of the underground parking because SpotHero gave us the wrong code. I like to give chances, but I’m absolutely done with this. I would rather spend $25 on event parking than saving 5 to 7 dollars and dealing with this nonsense.

When used no issues
No better parking app. Have used it in Newark near train station and in Morristown NJ, next is for Newark airport. Easy Peasy.
A True Lifesaver
I have found parking to be a challenge in downtown areas. Lots of availability for some hours but not all day which leave me jumping between sides and streets. I have used Spot Hero for work meetings especially and it has saved my butt. I’m a believer and highly recommend! I’ve only had an issue finding a location one time and was able to switch to a different spot that wasn’t much further away and got a credit for the first reservation. Their customer service is fantastic. Love!

Fantastic app and customer service
I have been using the app for 3 years and love it! I recently messed up a reservation and failed to extend it. Spot Hero customer service was easy to reach and helped me resolve when I got double-charged by the local parking vendor! So pleased!
This App Nearly Cost Me Hundreds
SpotHero's information is outdated, the garages don't know how to use their system, and the app caused me to get charged hundreds of dollars because the staff had no clue what a SpotHero reservation even was. The instructions in the app didn't match the real garage setup at all, and I ended up paying as a walk-in because nobody onsite could redeem the reservation.
Support was just as bad. They sent canned replies, made wrong assumptions, and dragged the process out until I had to provide my own operator receipt to prove what actually happened. Only then did they finally refund me.
If the garage doesn't recognize SpotHero, you're on your own. The app might work in some cities, but the information is clearly out of date and the communication is poor. As soon as my refund clears, I'm deleting the app.

Paid to Park. Got Towed Anyway.
Paying for a SpotHero reservation should not result in your car being towed, the towing company denying they even have it, police having to get involved, and you being left with hundreds of dollars in expenses. Yet that is exactly what happened to me.
I paid for this reservation, followed the parking instructions, and parked where I was authorized to park. My vehicle was still towed. When I attempted to locate it, the towing company told me they did not have my car. It took getting the police involved before they finally admitted they had it and I was able to recover my vehicle.
Because of this, I had to pay towing-related charges, spend money on multiple Uber trips while trying to find my car, unexpectedly pay for a hotel, and miss four hours of work. Instead of providing a safe, reliable place to leave my vehicle, this reservation turned into an expensive and completely avoidable nightmare.
What makes this especially unacceptable is that I did everything I was supposed to do as the customer. I paid for the spot. I parked in the correct location. I followed the rules. I should not have had to spend my own money, lose wages, involve law enforcement, and fight to recover my own vehicle because of a failure between SpotHero, the property, and the towing company.
There is absolutely no reason a customer should pay for authorized parking and then have to call the police to get their car back. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I am seeking full reimbursement for every expense this incident caused, including the towing charge, Uber transportation, hotel costs, and lost wages.

THESE ARE FAKE REVIEWS
The customer service for this company is HORRIBLE. I went to park somewhere that i prepaid for and it didn’t even work. I ended up paying for both app parking and regular parking. I’ve had several friends as well have the same thing happen to them as well. This company pays for their good reviews and removes all the bad ones. I do NOT recommend using this company for any parking whatsoever.
