Good idea FAQ’s could be clearer

I like this app. Using the vouchers it has already helped me to knock time from my offset mortgage balance alongside the regular savings I add to the offset savings. I do feel the FAQ’s could be more accessible in the app. It’s not clear for example that the auto save feature doesn’t begin until 2 months in, I’d been excited checking to watch the cash get taken and the balance go down further. The chatbot isn’t bad either, it’s much better than other’s I’ve used. It would be good if the chatbot could provide links to terms and co dictions in its response, people like me enjoy the small print. It’s only little things here and there I would improve but on the whole I’m excited to start getting this mortgage paid off quicker.

Decent app

All in all, this is a decent app to help with saving and paying off the mortgage faster. However, the cash back rates are lower than what can be found on other cash back apps. My husband and I both have Sprive accounts, and it would be helpful if the app could update to link accounts to show the cumulative progress in making overpayments between the two of us. As it currently stands, I can only see the impact of overpayments as if it were only me making them, it does not show my husbands contributions.

Great money saving

Sprive is a great way to save a bit of money without realising it. The fact you can bring your mortgage down by your everyday spending is great! Would definitely recommend

Easy savings

So fast and easy to use, the savings aren’t huge but they add up over time and it’s so much more convenient than other savings apps which offer gift cards

Tesco is instore only

I really wish that Tesco wasn’t instore only. All the other main chains like Asda, M&S etc that offer online shopping have that option. Not Tesco.

Fabulous!

Love using this fantastic tool! Saved a whole lot on my regular shopping and paid a fair amount off my mortgage for things I would be buying on a regular basis. Win win

Every little helps

I have recently discovered the Sprive app.
Amazing to think that for shopping you would already be doing you can effectively earn cash back which is then offset against your mortgage. Absolutely brilliant it’s just a bit of a faff to get the hang of it and a shame that so many retailers are not covered but every extra payment I can make towards my mortgage is a real bonus!

No regrets - it’s a no brainer

Downloaded this app & absolutely love it. At first it was a faff, but now I am addicted to the benefits of the cash back on everyday shopping. It’s great watching my mortgage reduce. Only thing is, I can’t see if my husband is down as my referral. As the app keeps asking me to invite my partner which I’ve already done.

Amazing App

The apps fantastic so may retailers to uses it in! We have paid off loads already just from everyday spending!

It is good, but …

First week using this app. It is really easy to use & the key to this being beneficial (if you can’t get a better rate on yr savings of course) is strict consistency. I have missed out on using the app on 2 purchases already by using the search bar when looking for a retailer. This search bar at the top of the screen is NOT a way to quick search all retailers. If this is what it is designed for, it doesn’t work & I can’t be the only person to point this out. You need to click on the named sections below the search bar i.e home & look in each section. Not ideal when at the checkout & people are waiting, otherwise. It’s ok. I would say pay as go but have a quick look before leaving the house - if you know where you’re going.

Loving this app; why would you not use it - it costs you nothing and saves you a lot

User friendly

Sprive is really user friendly, I’m enjoying it so far which is half the battle with me. Fully recommend.

Very Tempremental

The nature of the app is amazing. What you can do long term is life changing but the app crashes more than it works. I’ve lost out on a couple of hundred pounds of savings. Incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

Everyone should be using this

Genuinely an unbelievable idea, the best piece of fintech I have come across so far. My mortgage is expected to reduce by 3 years with how much I am using this

Great concept, predatory practices

It’s a great concept, but unfortunately they spam you constantly with notifications and “incentives” to bombard your friends and family with invites. It’s almost like a Ponzi scheme in how much it tries to get you referring.

The vouchers are also available significantly cheaper elsewhere, you’d just have to transfer the savings into your mortgage yourself. Sprive skim a lot off the top and spam you, so it’s really north worth the time.
