I lost my card overseas with my fone ,I wrote on social media tagged both my bank FNB and Standard bank.Only one that reach out and requested a video call with ID or passport and manage to transfer everything on my new fone.FNB never even bother til today

I wish Standard Bank would show you that you have messages whilst logged in to the app.
Every time you log out, the App icon shows you have new messages. You have to log back in to read them.

Your Internet and mobile banking are not intuitive. Your email requests for assistance are sent from one person to the next bouncing me around as If a hot ball to get rid of instead of assisting me. Your WhatsApp call function is very helpful and this is the only way I get assisted.

I’ve been making online payments for many years. All of a sudden my attempt at an online payment was unsuccessful. The person (or bot) told me I would have to set up a virtual card. Online payments were impossible with this method.

Problems with app regularly
I often experience issues with the app. Sometimes OTPs not delivering. Sometimes account totals not showing. Online banking is an issue as well. That’s the biggest problem really. The app isn’t as bad as internet banking.

Statement for March 2026 missing and the statements don’t load. Once in the Documents tab each statement / letter has 3 dots on the right to open the document. However when pressing rhe 3 dots the document doesn’t open/load.
Unauthorized bank fees
This bank is always charging fees for services that have not been requested or authorized. I barely use my Standard Bank account but I have to watch it like a hawk to make sure I am not being charged!!! Then when I query, it’s a problem to be refunded at the all money that has been charged.

Your landing page is now beyond stupid. You are unable to see all your accounts at once without scrolling one by one horizontally. What is the point of hiding the very information that you want to see at one glance ???
