We have had some pretty awful experiences with other fast food orders, the worst being Culver’s in Highland, but EVERY time we have ordered from your app the order has been PERFECT!! Delicious, hot, fast service and good communication! I have been eating at Steak n Shake since 1970 in Springfield, ILLINOIS and it tastes just as delicious!

Broken app - lots of issues
The most important thing a business expects is for you to pay, but the devs don’t seem to care.
Apple Pay is listed as an option but it has never worked. My banking apps notify that a charge goes through and then I get refunded because the app refuses to take my money. The same cards entered manually work fine. No doubt this company is losing business because you make it more difficult than you should to place an order.
Want to place an order for the family? You can do that but it’s way more annoying than it should be. I add something to the cart and it gives me suggestions of other things to order instead of taking me back to the full menu. And don’t take too long or the app times out and won’t let you through to the order and then you have to add everything back to the cart again.
Was this app designed by AI, devs under the influence, or just complete morons? Seriously though, this app is garbage. As far as I have experienced, steak N Shake has probably the worst food ordering app period. Leadership should be embarrassed that this is how the company is represented.
Speaking of leadership, doubt they or marketing would ever see this app review, but if somehow they do, they need to drop the beef tallow marketing BS. I only recently learned that is somehow a political statement. People don’t buy their food because of a political statement, but they might NOT buy it. That seems like business/marketing 101 common sense.
In summary, S&S needs to get their $h17 together.

This app sucks
Throughout the 3 years of me owning this app there has ent been a single time where the checkout works it always fails but it still it takes ur money for about an hr or so and gives it back in an hr it’s been 3 years how is this still a problem DO NOT INSTALL THIS IS A SCAM
Payment issues
I normally use the app to save myself some time when I pick up my food. Recently I haven’t been able to checkout on the app. The screen just keeps loading forever. I’ve deleted, updated, restarted and so on and nothing seems to work for this issue. The app works in every other fashion except the whole point of it all it seems.

Fix your gift card implementation
It’s bit ridiculous that I can’t use up a gift card balance and apply the rest to a credit card. Just abandoned my cart.

Opinion
The only improvement I can see that the app needs is: offering a more effective way for rewards members (people who download the app) to get credit or points when using the drive through, whether that be a code prior to ordering or some other way. But the barcodes on the receipts have not worked on my phone, my roommates or my co-workers. I feel customer loyalty should be respected and rewarded. I love the food, I hope the franchise can upgrade the rewards system.
