The shake cups & lids need to be replaced with some that are more substantial. The lids pop off & the shakes spill easily.

I ordered on the app and when I have ordered in the store on the tablets, I cannot modify my shake the way I would like it.

You really need to change the amount on the rewards if you’re not going to make it true. I spent $20 to get one point when it clearly reads one point for every dollar spent!!!! If you can’t stay true to the rewards then don’t advertise it!!! I love steak and shake and am very disappointed in the app!!

Beware Rewards
Got the welcome reward free milkshake email. So come in for lunch and the free shake. When checking out, it’s only valid after 4:00pm. So They suckered me to come in and spend $20 for lunch and no promised reward.
And yes, I did recheck the email. 4:00pm is never mentioned until checkout.

Couldn't pay for my order through the app. Every time I tried, it said: "payment failed."

I’ve got my app loaded with gift cards and all is fine if I want to pick it up at the drive thru.
But eat inside the store? No! Why?
I can’t tell it I’m here in the store so I get ripped off on drink refills. But the worst is they are expecting me to drive up and always forget I went to the counter and told them I’m here in person with my buds.
All the other food apps let you specify counter service. What’s up S&S?

Great fast food
Healthier than many of the other ones out there. Love this place!

I just got the app. I want to write a book on SnS and the roots of duplication and franchising. I grew up down the street from the original Normal store. Founder Gus Belt was a good friend of my grandfather and relatives and friends of a good friend of mine loaned Gus the funds to start.

The worst fast food company
Honestly just gross. The company is gross, the CEO is gross, the app is gross in policies, locations aren’t even 24 hours anymore, prices hiked up for no value return, all of it. The policy that you can’t use a gift card and split payment by paying for the rest of an order with a debit or credit card is just skeezy, it only serves to keep the company a few pennies when you can’t use the entire card amount of the card. It’s wildly pathetic and a gross business practice. Can’t even split payment in app OR IN STORE at all, so if you’re ordering for more than one person and want to split the payment…nope. They also randomly jacked up the prices significantly, so what is basically just a single patty low quality smash burger is now just under $5. The quality got worse, so what warrants the price hike? The only thing not awful about this company are the employees.
At this point, I’d literally rather go to any other chain or use any other fast food app.

Love Steak N Shake, bad app
As an iOS user, I cannot make payments in the app. This has been going on for months. It errors out every payment method I try, and I am forced to pull up the website to reenter and place my order.
Love Steak N Shake and everything they’re doing to improve their food quality and brand. Never go back - excelsior! But please, fix your app.
