Meal Events

The latest update is promising. I can see how adding meals via AI or label scan can make it simple. With that being said it would be great if the meals I add are included into a library of meals that can be pulled from. I try to keep my meals simple and are often repetitive ie Breakfast is a cup of coffee w a bit of Fairlife milk and a specific protein bar. Would be nice to be able to add that meal from a presaved library without having to reenter each item every morning.

Update/. Still hate it and is just getting worse.

Now cannot correct time of meal unless opt in to coaching or something. Usefulness to user is disappearing. Must have something to do with all the other companies they are coordinating with. If this is the future of AI it is horribly controlling and stockerish. Need to be able to opt out. Just ordered 6 more sensors so…. Will go back to finger pricks after used. Very Sad. Dark screen is not good and app is much more difficult to use. Now just look at Clarity.
Please put back to way it was. Also, AI just isn’t accurate with its assessment. Miss ability to enter actual info based on specific product.

Please change it back

It is so much more difficult to read now. Really liked the app much better before the update.

New app dark mode low contrast

I really enjoyed the app before they redid the interface. Now it looks like it is only dark mode with no light mode option. Dark mode with its lower contrast is much harder to read than light mode with my vision correction. Therefore, the app is much less useful, even if it has more goodies inside of it.

Update based on developer response: I have tried to report application issues before, and frequently got lost in a maze of automated emails for entirely the wrong topic and was unable to correct the robots. Very few humans in that loop, and it’s not worth my time. Feel free to use my feedback or not. Also, the new AI features are intrusive, and really not useful. I did enjoy the monitor and the app in the past, but I guess I will be looking around now for alternatives.

Nice app but too dark

This app was fine until they made the screen dark. Now it’s hard to see during the day outside. There should be an option to change the background color so it’s appealing to everyone.

Worthless upgrade

This new upgrade is garbage. Stelo relies entirely on AI which has led to an awful user experience. There is too much AI info on a dark and busy screen. My glucose results were very inaccurate as compared to fingerstick results-between 20-60 point difference. Will never buy Stelo again until prior app is restored.

Good but….

Generally a simple lid app that does what it is supposed to do But the AI “insights” are trivial and annoying. “You should get more sleep”. Yes. Yes, I should thank you. Other than that, the app is fine.

Motors broke the app

The app was working fine and some idiots decided to screw it now it’s completely useless. Cancelling the subscription

Some changes are not easy to find, and no option to switch to non-dark mode.

New app is “dark mode” only. Light mode of old app is easier to see. Old glucose history graph was more accurate when zoomed out to 6, 12, 24 hours.
Fine plot detail is only shown up to 11 hours. The trends page shows most of the information that the previous app showed.

Update isn't great.

Editing my review now that I've been using the new update for a few days. It's too busy. Too much AI nudging. Too many pages. And way, way too dark. But I do generally appreciate the Stelo app. I've been using it with success for two years. I strongly preferred the old, brighter interface. But I do appreciate being able to look back at daily averages, day by day, not just in summary. And I like seeing the spread of my range for each day. (On the Trends tab.)

Need a light mode for the upgrade

I loved the old app interface. Being stuck on dark mode with no other options is harder to look at. Can you create a light mode for those of us that prefer it. I never use dark mode for anything. Please consider this.

App needs display options

End users need the ability to toggle dark mode on or off. High contrast screens cause headaches for me, and with dark mode mandated, the app is impossible to use beyond a quick glance. I just switched to Stelo from Lingo and guess I need to head back.

Terrible Update

The recent update is a nightmare. Black background and white text triggers migraines, but there’s no way to turn this off. The actual glucose trend display is condensed so you can barely see movement within and around normal. I’m not diabetic, I don’t need blank graph going up to 250. I don’t want an AI slop “assistant,” I want to see my blood sugar graphs, my min and max blood sugars, and my average blood sugars. Why ruin the basics?

Bring back the old display

It is so hard to monitor my glucose with the awful new display, I am considering switching because I cannot work with this

Hate the new App

I really hate the new app. It is difficult to navigate and unpleasant to view anything on it. I don’t like the black background and I don’t care for how it displays the information anymore. It is so challenging and not enjoyable to use at all. The product itself has been decent, but I am no longer going to use it due to the app upgrade

Okay, not great

Almost miss the old app. New app time of the day on bottom of tracking graph is so light, that it is difficult to read, even if I raise the screen brightness on my phone to maximum.

Don’t like the new modern update

I literally never write reviews for apps. I’ve used this app for a few years and there was nothing wrong with the original version- it was easy to use and understand. This new “sleek, modern” design is awful. I’m young- in my 20s, and this is hard for me to read and know what I’m looking at. I don’t like that the background is dark. The blood sugar marker points are too small, almost like it’s too zoomed out, and I can’t seem to be able to fix or change that. Every time I open the app it seriously takes me several seconds to understand what I’m looking at and I really have to study what it’s showing me. I don’t appreciate this update, I don’t like that it appears as if it’s in “nighttime” mode, blood sugar points are too small, too zoomed out and hard to read. Please go back to the original version and/ or give users the options to make blood sugar points larger and change the background color. Makes me not want to use this app!!

Totally Unreliable information

I used it when they had an agreement with Nutrisense. It was expensive, but reliable. Since moved to Stelo, you are unable to calibrate the sensor. Most of the information on their site explains that it is based on interstitial muscle rather than blood sugar levels. They don’t explain how a blood sugar reading translates to their readings. All medical literature refers to levels in blood, not interstitial muscle.

Updated app way too busy with ai.

Older simpler layout was much easier to read. I don’t need this app to be a health coach, just need it give glucose readings. Too many submenus and ai bar graphs and summaries reads like a buisness meeting. Hate using the app now after latest update. Dark Color choices, background and font sizes also difficult to read. No way to customize the layout in app either, can’t remove info I don’t want displayed on my home dashboard.

New layout color

Better to have an option to chose the background layout.
