They charge you to see your own solar power
Absolutely hate the fact that every feature in this app was available for free and now they want you to pay $100 a year to see your daily, monthly, yearly solar production. I already paid $22k for the panels and the monitoring system. Why do I have to pay another $100 a year to see what my product is doing?

Worst app on my phone
This is a terrible app. It doesn’t update info in a timely fashion and is cumbersome, and expensive.
App no longer works
This app no longer works with my home system. I have tried the self-service trouble shooting tips, which didn’t work, and the company provides no additional phone support.
Sun “not so” strong
SunStrong took over sunpower. On Sunpower, all App services were free. On SunStrong, you have to pay the premium price to get services that were once free on the Sunpower app. No thanks! I’ll continue to use electric company’s billing statements to see my electricity power/usage.
Charging to see output is diabolical!
What a scam! This app provided free monitoring before and now suddenly they are charging for basic monitoring which I believe we are contractually entitled to get. I’m furious and hope they are sued!
The worst
The company tricks you into thinking you can monitor your solar panels with the app. Then they turn around and block your access unless you pay a subscription fee. I would suggest using a different company. I’d rate it a zero if I could.
Terrible revision
The original app was great, now this is nearly worthless unless you pay for premium membership. Seems a rip-off after spending $20k on panels
total scam
I used to be able to access my data when Sunpower was the company name, and now with SunStrong, ai have to pay 100 bucks a year for right to know if my solar panels, which i purchased and paid for, are working properly. Total scam.
Poor documentation and instructions
We needed to reconnect our PVS6 to our new Gateway. We have been unable to connect the PVS to our network. Customer support request 48 hours to respond. We have been unable to deal with it based on the available instructions.
We do not get weather information based on latest release.

Now I have to pay for a plan
Before its name was changed, I was able to access a weekly analysis even a monthly analysis of my home solar, but now that it changed to SunStrong Connect it’s forcing me to get a plan to see my reports. I’m already paying a tremendous amount for my solar panels so now to see how it works. I have to pay more? It doesn’t make any sense.

No way to login or create an account
This is the worst company ever. There’s no support anywhere on the app. It’s impossible to find a help section on there and you can’t do anything unless you have an account the problem is that to create an account you need information that is not available anywhere else since they took over Renova
Crazy price
It’s an absurd monthly price, I’d pay $24 per year, but $100 seems quite a lot to just see how my solar is doing.

Stopped working
The App records the production on a given day but erased it on the following day . For example if I produce 80 Kw today when I look back at it the following day it shows a few KW only

The app use to offer real data for free. Now one has to pay $99 a year for it. Does little to instill confidence in their product and angers customers.
Fraud in this service
I got a free app that had basic analytics as part of my Sunpower solar contract. After that company reorganized, the new owner switched me to this app and is trying to charge $99 for what was contractually provided in the prior app for basic information. Basically a contract violation and fraud - I reported this app to the CA AG’a office and they’re going to start an investigation.

Complete utter GARBAGE
This app is totally GARBAGE. We used to have full reports, analytics, and per-panel output reports. Now we cannot view ANY of this info. This app updates makes me want to throw our entire system in the trash this is so, so horrible.
Zero Customer Service
This app is sporadic at best. When I told SunStrong I couldn’t get the PVS6 to connect, they ignored me and told me to call someone else. I suspected our 2 year old system was down but no way to monitor it. Sadly I was right and lost a month of solar contribution.
