Pretty fun game
Takes all of 30 minutes to complete, don’t bother
Response from developer
Okay @mileslacey07, "don't bother" stung a little 😅 Then we went and measured it, and you were correct on all three counts, so mostly we just sat here quietly for a while. You said thirty minutes. We simulated an entire career against the engine, and by the fortieth detonation a run was lasting three seconds. You said "stupid infinitely large numbers": the cores a supernova paid out were scaling with the cores you already had, so the bank doubled every single time until it snapped 64-bit arithmetic and took the whole app down with it 💥 You said the leaderboard was broken: anything past a billion falls outside the range the board is configured for, so Game Center was quietly binning your score and never saying a word. Three sentences, three real bugs, zero false positives. Our QA process is now essentially "what would @mileslacey07 say" 🔍 So here is what happened to the game 🪜 The generator ladder no longer ends. Past the Singularity Seed it keeps going: Tachyon Braid, Vacuum Bloom, Axion Halo, Monopole Reef, Chronon Cascade, and on down into the dark as far as you can climb. The supernova threshold now rises with your power instead of standing still, so a run has to reach deeper than the last one rather than simply getting cheaper. Payouts are capped, scores are clamped into range, and any save the old maths inflated is repaired the moment it loads 🛠️ And then there is this ✨ The constellation at the very end of that endless ladder, charted at 100 supernovae, is called The Ouroboros, the serpent eating its own tail 🐍, which felt uncomfortably apt for a game that used to eat itself. It now carries your name, permanently, in the sky. @mileslacey07 is up there for good, and it arrives in the update right after this one 🌌 It takes rather more than thirty minutes these days ⏳ If you ever wander back and it holds up, that lonely first star does have four friends it has never met ⭐⭐⭐⭐ but honestly, no pressure @mileslacey07: you got the fix either way, and we got a much better game out of it 💜 The geeky and lovely team of Supernova 🌟
Amazing

@pthd420 that is genuinely the nicest possible way to put it 💜 We may have printed it out. 1.2.1 is on the way and it goes deep 🪜 The generator ladder no longer stops at the Singularity Seed but keeps going as far as you can climb, the supernova threshold rises with your power so late runs stay a real climb instead of collapsing into seconds, and there are twelve constellations to chart now rather than eight ✨ Two of those charts are named after players who sent us the bug reports that made this update happen. Come find them out past the Gate, @pthd420 🌌 Forge on 🌟 The geeky and lovely team of Supernova 🌟
Great game, just some bugs

@Kai_den1273 you found a real one, and the detail about having detonated so many times is exactly what made it reproducible 🔍 The cores a supernova paid out were scaling with the cores you already had, so the bank doubled every detonation until it overflowed and the app closed on launch. And because the save reloaded perfectly fine, it closed again on every single retry 💥 The other half of your review had the very same cause. Because power grew that fast and the generator ladder stopped dead at twelve tiers, runs collapsed to seconds and there was nothing left to reach for. You were right that there was nothing new to do: there genuinely wasn't any more sky. In 1.2.1 the ladder no longer ends 🪜 Past the Singularity Seed it keeps going as far as you can climb, the supernova threshold rises with your power instead of standing still, payouts are capped, and saves already past the ceiling are repaired when they load, so yours should open again 🛠️ And past the Singularity Gate there is now a new constellation called The Loom ✨ "Thread by thread, the sky reweaves what you burned." It is dedicated to you: @Kai_den1273 is written into that chart for good 🌌 Thank you for staying with it long enough to find the edge of the game 💜 The geeky and lovely team of Supernova 🌟
