No iPad access to my accounts
I do most of my banking on my iPad but my CD accounts information will not load. I have to use my desktop computer to view all but my money market accounts. Ridiculous.
Land of inconveniences
Incredibly long external transfer times and when I tried to initiate more than one transfer in a day it suspended my ability to make external transfers and took a long convoluted phone call with multiple automated menus and multiple people just to get it reinstated. I was told not to do that, so know that this isn’t an account where you can move money around freely.

Crooks
They hold your money way longer than they should. If I try to transfer money from Synchrony to my bank, it takes a full week, sometimes longer. It’s ridiculous.

This bank is a joke, bankers can not talk no to no one, I have had synchrony since 2024, I have 2 HYS, 3 MMA accounts and a CD, my account have been locked for 2 times the most previous one on July 27th, bankers are not helpful, no one is trying to resolve the issue of me getting back into my accounts through the app or taking the restrictions off my account even after verification with my main bank account where all my money gets transferred from to synchrony, no fraud activity has been on my account the only fraudulent activity seems to be this bank it’s self, it has came to the point I have filed a complaint with Comptroller of the Currency office to try and get this matter resolved

I have used Synchrony bank for 3 years for their great savings rate. I am able to easily and quickly transfer money to/from another bank’s checking account. I use that feature a lot. They make it so easy and it’s very efficient. Thanks!
Synchrony stinks!
I have not been able to do a transfer for months without having to call customer service. Their system refuses to accept my cell number to send a code. Doing transfers now takes about 15 minutes to complete. Ridiculous!!!
Disappointed
I opened up a high yield savings account online and put in money for it but 3 days later i was locked out of my account and was told to wait 3 days for my account to reopen and nothing. Then I called like 3 times and they kept telling me to wait 3 days. At this point I didn’t want anything with this bank and I told them to give me my money back and they told me 3 days it would be refunded and I still haven’t received anything. I’m super annoyed since I had high hopes but they just ended up taking my money. Till this day I haven’t received anything and it’s been more than a month. For anyone that wants to open an account, be careful because they will not refund you your money. This is what happened to me and I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else

Hurdles
If you want to prevent a CD from auto renewing, these people will make you jump through hoops and make it absolutely impossible. It is a deterrent, it’s a tactic and it is extremely unpleasant. They claim it as for security reasons, but that is dubious because I’m logged in with two factor authentication into my account and could provide another layer of identity verification online. Nothing special about the rates here, so choose wisely.

Transfer Fund
Transfer funds from my bank/credit union is very difficult using the Synchrony app.
Banking with other institutions is much easier and if I continue having problems, extend to close my account at Synchrony.
