Overpriced
This platform takes advantage of both taskers and clients. They charge fees that are more than double the price of the task and minimum hours are hidden from view or in drop down menus or small print. Neither do they follow their own policy that all fees should be disclosed in chat. As a first time client I was grossly overcharged for a task and support was unwilling to adjust their invoice. They did offer a discount on my next task but discount will not cover the absorbent fees when used. Disappointing service. Do not recommend for anyone trying to economize.

App itself fails at communication
There’s no communication from the app. I recently booked a tasker and I found out today the tasker rejected it. There was no email. There was no banner notification. No notification even in app. There was a small message at the bottom of the chat that I needed to select a new tasker. But nothing highlighted on the task itself. The task was still active one minute and the next it just disappears. That is some BS.

Unprofessional, Unprepared, and Overcharged
Unprofessional service and inflated charges. The Tasker came completely unprepared with a dead drill battery and had to use my personal tools. He mounted the TV crookedly and spent most of the time struggling to correct his own mistake, then billed me $170 for the extra time wasted. He refused to account for his lack of preparation and poor workmanship. Unacceptable experience.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP! ABSOLUTE SCAM
Do NOT waste your money. Absolute nightmare of an app.
I live in Bournemouth, and there is literally ONE single handyman available in the entire city on this app. I created an account, posted the job, sent pictures, and explained everything. The guy said it would take 2 hours, accepted the job, showed up and then realized he couldn't actually do it. Up to this point, fine, people make mistakes.
The real scam starts here.
He canceled the job through the app, leaving me stranded. Since there are zero other handymen in Bournemouth on TaskRabbit, I contacted customer support. To their credit, I got connected to an agent in 5 minutes. But their response? "Our handymen are experts, so you must have bought the wrong product."
Are you serious? The cupboard I bought is directly from the company that supplies and installs them for brand-new housing developments(I live brand-new house). When I called out their ridiculous excuse and pointed out that there’s no one else in Bournemouth to fix it, they dropped the bomb: They charged me £56 for a "1-hour call-out fee" just because their "expert" showed up.
I waited 3 whole days just for a guy to walk into my house, say "I can't do this," and steal £56 from my bank account for doing absolutely nothing. This is nothing short of a modern-day scam.
Stay far away from this garbage app. Do yourself a favor and hire actual local tradespeople directly.
