AI is a powerful tool but my god their product authentication process is spotty at best when people are involved but to let AI take the wheel completely? Bad move.

Company sucks
Their commission on items is too high. Management is rude
They don’t have your back
Using TRR was different a few years ago. I trusted good customer service. My package was stolen. I lost around $800 because my package was left outside even though I gave delivery instructions. I followed TRR instructions, contacted them multiple times and nobody helped me. It’s been over a month now. If you order with them, know that they will not have your back if anything happens.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with!
I can’t believe they are still in business. They send clothes with defects, stains, rips, wrong sizes and then deny your return request.
Total rip off
Do not send your clothes to the real real, they are total scam. You’ll get paid Pennie for your items
Fake Items Galore
Do not buy from this app. Items frequently have fake tags or are misleadingly categorized. Items labeled as menswear are frequently actually women’s sizes, and returns are difficult or impossible. It’s easier to consign a previous purchase than to report a fake, which likely just continues the proliferation of fake items on here.

Terrible place to sell to
I sent some items to them to sell on my behalf. They sold the bag for $116. I received 30% which was $34.80. I only received $4.80theu charged me 2 fees of $15 each because some of the other items I sent them weren’t to their liking. So they sent back my items. And then charged me $30. Giving me only $4.80. I’ve messaged customer service and they said there’s nothing they can do

Great store, Genuinely terrible app
I do a majority of my shopping on the real real, but the app is horrendous. It somehow gets worse with each update… just endless glitches. This app feels straight out of 2010 compared to every other on my phone.
Old functionality was better
App is now laggy and I need to scroll more than before to view item details. I also miss the swipe feature to go back a screen.

Item Lost
The RealReal lost my item while it was in their possession and refused to take responsibility. I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using The RealReal.
Beware
When using Apple Pay beware of price jumps! I had an item in my cart and went to purchase. I was using Apple Pay. It showed me a total price, it had my address and card and then said double click to pay. As soon as I double clicked, the price jumped! Luckily I was able to cancel it. I emailed them and was told it was taxes and shipping fees. I live in a state with no tax and if that was shipping it was ridiculous. The total price should have been clearly stated before I went to double click. Beware!!

Glitch after glitch
The app never works anymore. I can’t save items, the heart icon has disappeared on many items. I can’t even close out of an item if I want to return to a search, the “X” has disappeared! I have to close the app and go back into my saved searches every time. Too clunky to even use anymore.
Awful Service
Don’t bother with this service they are unserious. I’ve been a customer for years. Recently all my orders were cancelled with no explanations. Their support team does not provide any solution and will never follow up. I’ve deleted the app and deleted my account. I’ve never seen a company like this one.

The shipping cost is high and the packaging is very poor.
Won’t return my item
I gave a bracelet to them. They wanted to give me thousands and thousands less than appraisal value. I’ve now been trying to get said bracelet back over a month. They also listed it under another sku when it was supposed to be shipped back. I turned them into BBB
