Not usable in most countries

You really should tell people up front that only Sweden and Portugal allow use of this app. It’s useless otherwise.

Not user friendly

It does not process information entered consistently. My wife could not go past step 4. I had to download the app and try. I was not asked to do steps 5 and 6 on the app but received our QR code. I couldn’t share my co-travellers’ QR code with them.

Doesn’t Save Information

I filled out personal info for myself and my wife twice but it does not save the information. This is a huge pain when you realize it hasn’t saved and you’re trying to enter a country. This is a huge pain when you’re at the airport trying to enter a country. Do better

Validation of Brexit

If you need confirmation of why the UK left the EU, this App goes some way there. A clunky, legal jargon filled, bureaucratic flow, that, wait for it, only works for 2 countries - Sweden and Portugal. Imagine the time, effort and cost the EU machine spent rolling out this useless piece of tech. Incredible.

Worse than useless

Went through the whole process for my trip to Portugal and the day before my travel, my entire journey was missing from the app. No error, no notification, nothing.

Tried multiple times to enter information for my family of 4 and every time I hit continue, it just reverts back to the home page. Absolutely useless!

Excellent in Faro

The app work very well in Portugal. Once at the head of the queue the whole process at the terminal took a couple of minutes. Make sure you are in the right queue. Most Brits it seemed hadn’t used it so they had to type everything in there and then. So The non EU queue took 40 minutes but probably the “EU and others” line would have been faster and valid with a UK passport.

Actually wastes more time! DONT DO IT

Downloaded the app. Filled out my information. Waited in the kiosk line. Entered all of that twice because the system went down during the first one. Got to the e-gate and was told none of that mattered and I still had to wait in the 2-hour passport line. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.

“Selfie” image instructions need to be more complete. It is not a one click selfie photo! The scan should have a better start oval around image to show yellow or range befefore starting green

No value

Got this app for travel to Portugal. Information was not utilized when I arrived. App does not support departure from Portugal even though it seems that is where it is badly needed and even though it has a menu to get you half way through the process before dead-ending.

This app needs more development to be of any value or use.

Sweden Entry Only - No Border Options for Departure

Downloaded app to enter details for departure from Sweden. Disappointed to find no border options available for point of departure (i.e. Arlanda Airport) from Sweden. Given the chaos that implementation of EES has caused and the history of insufficient border staff at Arlanda Airport I now expect to miss my connecting flight to UK.

Thank you for your feedback! Using the app is voluntary for EU countries who can choose whether they would like to use it for EES pre-registration. Currently the app can be used for entering Portugal and Sweden. More countries will be added later, so stay tuned for updates! The up-to-date list of countries can be found at europa.eu/ees.

Don’t bother for Gothenburg

Total waste of time if you’re flying into Gothenburg. Makes no difference whatsoever. Have to join the same queue as everyone else. 90 mins plus.

Needs updating

I used the app to travel to Portugal & everything was great entering. However tried to log our exit details & it would not accept our final border details, which was Portugal so cannot use to leave the country. How can the app only work on entry & not on exit??

Good design limited use

The app itself looks well made however it appears to only be used for Sweden and Denmark currently making it unfortunately useless for the rest of the European countries using the EES system
