Just terrible
This app is way too sensitive for braking. We have had multiple instances of hard braking tracked against us when our trips absolutely did not have hard braking. It also dinged us for driving at 9:30 at night, which is outside of the parameters for late driving.
My driving
Seeing how I am driving and being rated makes me more aware every time I leave home. Makes me a better driver. Everyone needs this!
Inaccurate
I have many issues with the required permissions the app MUST HAVE 24/7/365 in order to function, but that’s not my main reason for writing this review.
The app supposedly tracks several aspects of your driving and is supposed to be able to differentiate between driver and passenger of a vehicle. So far I’ve made 50 trips using the app and 15-20 have been incorrect. I’ve recalibrated my phone sensors, I’ve followed tech supports suggestion on keeping my phone in my pocket and not in a phone holder, restarting my phone, logging out and back in, deleting and reinstalling and STILL can’t seem to get it right. So I’m getting dinged for being a passenger of a vehicle if the driver drives other than the app expects. YES there is an option to correct each trip in the app, but apparently if you correct too much they kick you out of the program…. But don’t worry, even if they do get that part right, you’re still going to get hit with other “events” for who knows why. I got dinged tonight for driving between their restricted time of day. The hours are 10pm-5am and I parked my vehicle in my garage at 9:50- but the app thought it was close enough to ten so it trigged an “event”! This individual event kicked me down from the excellent to good tier and gave me a needs improvement in the time of day category. So needless to say, the app is going to be wrong no matter what.
The app needs updating so it can actually capture correct data if it’s going to be the deciding factor in increasing or decreasing someone’s premiums! Falsely recorded data leads to falsely inflated premiums!

Not very intelligent
This app does not categorize drives accurately. Here are just some examples:
- both me and my spouse are driving in the same car and it tracks us both as drivers
- using GPS like google maps still counts as a distraction
- when traveling both across the country or out of the country it still tracks your Uber/Lyft rides as you driving
- it has a hard time telling if you are the driver or not. It just assumes you are whenever you are in the car
- answering a phone call gets tracked as a distraction.
- it alerted me that I was in a car crash when I was landing in a passenger plane while traveling internationally
- it is really annoying to have to be constantly classifying your drives. You shouldn’t have to do this at all if the app was truly intelligent

Needs update CarPlay sets it off
Every time I’m in my car and hook up my phone to have music playing it thinks I’m on my phone and marked me as a distracted driver
