Major

Most convenient way to handle rent.

Paying rent made easy

I’ve not had any issues with my rent being paid on time to my landlord. This is a big relief not having to pay all at once so I can balance bills and have money for gas or groceries

Could be better

Doesn’t remember your username so you have to re-sign in every time. I don’t know what this new AI maintenance request assistant thing is but get rid of it. It’s a waste of time. In the time it takes me to get around the stupid thing I could have already submitted my maintenance request and been done.

AI maintenance bot sucks

App was okay until they added an AI maintenance bot that makes putting in work orders not only way more annoying but also takes more of my time.

Stop updating this so much

Constant updates are very frustrating, making the monthly use of the app more delayed.

Failure to disclose fees

I had already used my credit card to pay the initial application fee, so it was saved as my existing payment method. When it came time to pay my security deposit and first month's rent, I simply selected that saved card. At no point during checkout was I told that a 3.9% processing fee would be added.
When I contacted TurboTenant, I was told the fee is disclosed on a different page and when adding a new payment method—but not when using a card that's already saved. Even the chatbot acknowledged it would be helpful to display the fee before submitting payment. Despite that, TurboTenant refused to refund the fee or allow me to cancel the transaction and pay by bank account instead.
Charging customers nearly $200 without a clear, final warning before they authorize payment is poor design and an unfair customer experience. A simple confirmation showing the processing fee before payment would prevent this from happening to others.

Not so great

Glitchy and not very well designed.

why does my landlord use this

i genuinely hope i never have to use this app with another landlord ever again lol. monthly updates do seemingly nothing. by far the worst part of this app is that i can’t just submit a work order, i have to describe my issue to an ai chat bot, which tells me three times to solve the problem myself (like i didnt already try that before resorting to submitting a work order) and then rewrites a less detailed summary of what the actual issue is. i don’t understand how that is helpful for the landlord. this is required every time you submit a work order. honestly the interface of the rest of the app isn’t terrible but that genuinely makes me so mad! the app also requires you to reset your password at some point (no face id option as far as i know) which is super annoying because i can never remember my new password. i shouldn’t have to change my password every 8 months for no reason. it just makes the app inconvenient, especially since you don’t stay logged in and you can’t select a “remember me” option when logging in.

Autopay sucks and too frequent updates

I miss Rentler. Autopay used to be my go to, but now you can’t do autopay without paying the full amount. So now you can’t split the payments between roommates unless you do it manually every month. And every time you open the app theres a new update that didn’t seem to change or fix anything. I just updated for the second time this week even.

Terrible app

So every time I click this app to log in I have to re link my bank account through some other garbage third party app… just let me type my bank info and be I don’t want to go to other apps and type my login info and link my bank account every month because your developers must be some garbage college degree computer scientist who don’t even know how to program a simple app, please delete this garbage

Boost my credit for a fee?

Stop asking me to boost my credit for a fee.

Fraudulent app

If a landlord ghosts you after you pay prescreening $55 fee TurboTenant will refuse to refund saying they’re not responsible for them, which is a lie and bad business practice that will lead into lawsuits. If you are a victim of this initiate credit card chargeback and show screenshots of lack of response.

Figure it out please

The monthly updates do get very annoying

Frustrating doesn’t work

Keeps prompting me to reset my password but won’t let me reset it it says captcha expired. I’ve tried deleting and logging back in it still doesn’t work! Frustrating

Disingenuous and greedy

Absolutely horrible app and company for a renter, my rent is raised by $50 bc of a fee from this app? That my landlord enforces on me? Absolutely get over yourselves and your horrible app that takes advantage of renters. At least if I’m going to get destroyed by a fee the app should work, if i ask it to hold my login information why is it saying theirs a problem logging in at least twice a week? And struggling to send a simple message to my landlord and nonstop loading despite how many times i refresh the app, resend the message on data and WiFi? Disgusting and predatory company clearly created for horrible landlords that take advantage of their renters

Thumbs up

Good evening this is T from 501 unit one. My experience is good. I can’t even say great. My daughter and I have been here 7 1/2 years. We are very blessed. We don’t have no harm or danger that comes that way we keep ourselves, but we also try to be good neighbors. Erin is more than just a landlord to me and my daughter personally and I know if I really need something or need to voice my opinion about something I know that I will get heard I will be heard so as of right now I have no complaints with how things are going. Have a blessed night.🩷🩷🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Requires monthly updates

Persistent monthly updates. How about build an app that just works? Shocking thought, I know, but it may be beneficial.

Updates you can’t avoid

Every time I do an update it logs me out this app is doing 2 times updates a month, They do updates every month logs you out then you can’t log in not me nor my son it’s frustrating I’m tired of this I feel harassed by Apple and their updates this needs to stop 🛑 this is my rent you playing with. Messages are very important….
