Unusable redesigned app — absolute downgrade
The font is way too small, thin, and hard to read. The faint gray text on black/white backgrounds creates awful contrast that strains the eyes.
The app completely ignores standard iOS Accessibility settings, changing text size or toggling bold font in system settings has zero effect inside the app.
Essential metrics and charts that were right in front of you on the home screen are now buried deep inside unintuitive sub-menus. The screen feels cluttered yet displays less useful information at a glance.
I’ve been using the ring for almost a year and was perfectly happy until this update dropped. Right now, reading basic metrics is a struggle. Please bring back normal text contrast, enable dynamic system font scaling, or give us an option to switch to the legacy layout.
Non-existent support and no Health Integration
Horrible experience
App Update Confusing
Better options out there
Things started off pretty good in the first year. The ring had no issues connecting. My stats were consistent and I was really able to use them to improve. The customer service was pretty good when I needed something.
Fast forward to today. The customer service is horrible. They use a chatAI responder that just recommends the same unhelpful responses. I had my ring replaced in February and it’s August and my stats aren’t showing. It doesn’t connect so most of my stats are pretty unless. I have an Apple Watch at this point, it is better than the ring which sucks because I truly wanted to replace my watch but this ring cannot do that.
Do yourself a favor and pick another option. The stats aren’t worth the headache of it not connecting (which is literally the whole point) or having to manually input your sunlight or workouts regularly.
GARBAGE disguised as a $400 smart ring
Review: If I could give it 0 stars I would. Tried with 2 different rings. App won’t connect to the ring. Tried every troubleshooting suggestion they give, still nothing. It says to make sure location is shared but location doesn’t even show up as an option for the app. On top of it you can’t actually get any support. AI that takes your case number and tells you to wait 2 days. Even with the membership that’s supposed to give “priority support” still can’t get an actual human to answer me within 24 hours. DO NOT BUY there are plenty of rings out there that actually work and have a working app. All these 5 start reviews are fake. Look at all the 1 star reviews. 20 of the 35 reviews from 2026 are 1 or 2 stars. Yet it’s a 4.5 star product. Ya right!
Update: It’s been 5 days and still no response from support. Not that it matters I’ve already returned ring #2 and will be buying an Oura or Samsung.

Hey there, We regret that your experience with our support and the Ring has left you frustrated. We understand that being asked to reach out again can feel repetitive when you’ve already made multiple attempts to get help. We’d still like the opportunity to review your case and understand what happened with the connectivity issue. Please write to us at ultrahuman-care@ultrahuman.com with your case details, and we’ll have the team look into this further.
Updated App
Revert the app please!
The newest version of the app is terrible. The UI looks very dated and the gimmicky Sphere is pointless, you spin it to show the numbers that are directly below it. Taking up screen real estate for no gains. And all the data that use to be visible at a glance you now have to dig to find. It’s so frustrating!
Even the ability to speak with an AI agent for customer support has been very useful in the past. It even pushed firmware update to my ring when something got stuck. It also connected me to a customer representative on another issue that they were able to resolve. It all felt very smooth.
You can’t even find the help option in this new version.
You cant change the nav bar to only show the icons for the areas you’re interested in anymore.
I use the caffeine plugin daily. It’s been very useful, until this new update. What exactly is the new graphic showing me? It doesn’t show where or when my caffeine intact tapers off like it use to.
I have used and enjoyed the ring and app for over a year but this new version needs a complete overhaul or reverting.
Was this user tested? It feels so clunky and ugly to use.
Your QA team must surely have flagged these concerns?

Absolutely Amazing
Beyond Frustrated
Additionally, about a month ago my ring just stopped working and support made me do a battery drain and checked on things and ultimately I was approved for another ring. While waiting for my new ring to arrive, all my data has been lost with no response to why and no resolution. I asked for a tracking number on my shipment and was told it was shipped to the wrong address and now my case is being circulated again for review because apparently there is no real tracking of support cases and no accountability.
Lastly, the basic period tracking is terrible. There is a paid version that apparently has all the features that I would expect for a product like this. While I understand that premium features can help support product development, I don’t think women’s health insights should require an additional fee. This feature addresses a biological need that only women experience, so placing it behind a paywall means only one segment of your user base is asked to pay extra for health information that is fundamental to understanding their bodies. That doesn’t feel like an equitable approach.
Overall I would not recommend this product, app, or company and I wish I had never chosen to purchase Ultrahuman or refer the product to family.
