OTP verification process twice for every fund transfer
I am a current account holder with Union Bank of India and have been using the account regularly since 2023 for my business transactions.
I am writing to raise a serious complaint regarding an issue I have been facing with the Union ease mobile banking application on my iPhone.
The issue started after an iOS software update approximately five to six months ago. Since then, whenever I initiate a fund transfer through the Union ease app, the application requires me to enter OTP twice during the transaction process. The fund transfer is completed only after entering the OTP for the second time.
I regularly make payments to multiple distributors and beneficiaries through my current account. Therefore, having to go through the OTP verification process twice for every fund transfer is extremely inconvenient and time-consuming. It is significantly affecting my ability to make urgent business payments quickly.
I have been facing this issue continuously for the past six months, and despite expecting the issue to be resolved through an application update or technical support, the problem still persists.
I request Union Bank of India to kindly investigate this issue with the Union ease mobile banking application, particularly its compatibility with the latest iOS version, and provide a permanent technical solution at the earliest.

Worst Banking App & Poor Customer Service
Pathetic app. Since the recent updates, it constantly shows server errors. I’ve visited my branch multiple times, but the staff are unhelpful and keep asking me to come back instead of fixing the issue. It’s been months, and my problem is still unresolved. A bank this big should be ashamed of such poor service and an unreliable app

Great app wish i could use the scan n pay more easily
Branch premises
The space, ambience in the branch premises needs improvement, there is absolutely no parking space in front of the bank building. To suit the requirements of customers of this generation spacious building with sufficient parking, waiting places, toilets, etc; centralized AC are must. Entrance of the building need to have access for wheelchair for senior citizens and disabled customers. Security also needs to be ensured with at least two guards 🙏

Not working on home WiFi
When I switch to my home wifi, the app says “ wifi detected. Turn off wifi and start fresh registration! What kind of app is this? On my tab, it doesn’t work because there is no SIM card. When the app can send otp for authentication why doesn’t it work on wifi? Security concern? When even more sensitive govt apps work smoothly with two factor authentication, why not your app? Why not add finger print, face detection for authentication?

Horrible App
This App fails every single time to start. It cannot work on WiFi or mobile data. But after installation it needs access to your all contacts, camera, location and everything else. Unable to use it. Internet banking doesn’t work as well. Home page of Union Bank doesn’t open.

Non functioning features.
One of the worst apps to use. Nothing works smoothly, i need to click on every link 2-3 times before it responds. Keeps logging out. Key features dont work, their technical issues which they are not able to fix, they put it on the customer account and customer’s fault. Their website doesn’t allow to login, their app doesnt allow to use the features. And all they say is “visit the branch to fix the issue.”. I go to the branch, branch says its an online issue, please raise a complaint. Classic case of shifting the blame!! Really frustrating…

Good application
Its a nice banking application where one can easily track all his account’s and transfer the funds easily to same or other bank, there are lots of other banking related options. If anyone one finds difficulty for login thru pin, they can opt foe Biometric authentication , thru that login is very easy.

How tf do I login!?
How the heck am I supposed to login if I don’t have a debit card associated with my account? If I select branch generated token, nothing shows up either, no SMS, no Email, nothing!! Why can’t you just let me get an OTP like every other banking app out there? Useless app!

This is hands down the worst banking app I have ever used. It does not work at all. Every single time I open it, it either crashes immediately, gets stuck on the loading screen, or logs me out for no reason.
The services are completely non-existent. Fund transfers constantly fail, but the money gets deducted from the account, leaving you stranded in emergencies. Balance checks give random error messages, and OTPs never arrive on time.
It feels like this app was built a decade ago and completely abandoned. Union Bank's digital services are a total joke. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this app entirely.
