Of all the automation apps iโve used, this is the very worst. It is impossible to connect this app to the gateway. Once you finally manage to connect it using an entirely different method, it can see all your devices but control none. Total waste of electricity

iOS App Gets Stuck Registering New Sensors
Issues adding a sensor to the gateway. The app hangs on the Registering screen. I tried multiple times, reset the sensor, and even let it sit for more than 10 minutes, but it never completed the registration.
After numerous failed attempts, I tried using the Android app instead, and it worked immediately. The iOS app definitely needs debugging.

Rubbish app!
Such a clunky app. Iโm home now, it rained 1/2 an hour ago, stopped completely, now I canโt open the windows at all because โrisk of rainโ!!
Manual control would be much better if I could reach the high one!!

Poor App
This app is average at best, even when it is working.
Lacks basic features: There is no option to set custom scenes. For example, you cannot create a preset to open only 6 out of 10 windows in the house simultaneously.
Frequent connection drops: The app regularly loses connection to the servers, throwing a false "gateway not connected to the internet" error.
Flawed connectivity logic: The gateway is actually connected to the internet. If I manually operate a window using a physical remote, the app suddenly wakes up, reconnects, and responds again.
Missed opportunity for local control: The app desperately needs to support local control when you are on the same Wi-Fi network. While cloud servers make sense for remote access outside the home, local operation should be seamless, instant, and independent of external servers.
The underlying hardware concept is great, but the software execution falls short.

Very Tempremental
For reasons unknown the gateway lost its settings and now needs to be reconnected to all my roof lights.
Unuser-friendly instructions
Instructions for set up are appalling. In fact the remote controls are impossible to set up and as I mentioned the instructions do not help at all.
Unstable
It drops off the Internet so frequently that I canโt rely on it working. In a room with phones and Alexa devices it continually says the router isnโt connected to the Internet. Which is nonsense, as every other device in that room is fine.

Great app, s little buggy at times though, everything at your finder tips, I have 4 uk08โs, all solar. Customer care is fantastic although takes a little time to respond between emails. Overall Iโm really happy.

However itโs now started saying after them being in three years itโs raining cats and dogs, itโs nearly June and itโs 28ยฐ, no rain expected at all, logged a call with support but Iโm not hopeful, so be aware of this happening to you.

The best: never had a sky light before.
Thank goodness this works great. Keep it up and strong. Love it a lot. Want to get more installed. Great service if I ever need it and the best serviced ever.
Good until it stops working
I was happy with this Product until i got an email telling me it had lost contact with the VELUX server, and it seems not to work Independently. Then i tried to find out how to reset it: good luck with thatโฆam still trying: terrible online help.
Much more convenient
Got the VELUX Gateway for free by post just by downloading the app and enjoying the convenience of controlling my skylight that way. Only slight criticisms are it should be made clear when installing the gateway that you cannot plug it into an extension lead, direct socket only or it wonโt connect; and the app should be able to display in landscape format as well on iPads, not just portrait. Minor quibbles only but room to improve.

Poorest App on my phone
The App is so full of bugs. Works one minute then not the next, if you use this system make sure you have got all the hand controls nearby as you will regularly need them. Waste of space.
