How points are tracked

My biggest frustration is that activities can’t be added together in a day as points, only one activity will count. What if I did a walk and a gym session, why can’t 3 and 5 points get added together, it drives me insane

Smiths hotels doesn't work

The mr&mrs smith hotels, are supposed to be able to book through the app however this never works and hasn't ever worked about time It's fixed.

Going, going, gone.

I’ve had enough. You sell yourselves as a company and app to assist in keeping people healthy and one of the most stressful frustrating parts of my day is trying to get your useless bloody app to just read the activity I’m doing. So, I’m going to find an insurance provider that actually gives a toss. It’s the only way you lot will ever bother taking notice of the people complaining. Bye.

App

Good app. Very easy to use and gives rewards for completing exercises. One criticism is that the app takes a few minutes to open, which is a little annoying.

Easy to use

Easy to use

4 star

Loses a star as all rewards aren’t in same place, so some can be overlooked.

Sends you in circles

App is pretty useless

Slowest loading app

If you don’t give up before the app loads or lets you log in then actually it’s pretty good

Useless app and service!

The app goes down a lot and doesn’t really connect properly with my health data, even though everything looks connected also the service isn’t really helpful either

I want to like this app but can’t

Takes ages to open/log in and takes about 20 refresh attempts for your points to update. Very frustrating - please fix as I’m a regular user/exerciser

Connectivity could be better

Overall good app and service but frequently fails to update points on day and need to report missing points a bit frustrating

Slow App

I’ve been using this for a long time but accessing my points always signing me off and the app taking time to appear. Not satisfied and rubbish and taking long to open the app

TERRIBLE

Can I give it zero stars? Literally terrible.
Spend some money on it

Keep me logged in!

The app itself is okay and does its job, but every single time I load up the app I have to log back in! This should be such a simple thing for them to fix!

App is garbage

I like vitality but hate this app. Does not pick up my activity, constantly have to login every time I want to use it (no remember me). It crashes accessing the care hub. Horrible experience!

Never works

No matter how many times I try to login it just gives me an error… scam of a service.

Never understood the app

I’ve been with vitality on and off for 10 years and never understood the app. People always promise to ring me to talk me through it and then ring me at a different time or don’t ring at all. I’ve missed out on so many rewards as I have no idea how it all works. I’ve have submitted around 3 complaints over the years and no one ever gets back to me.

Motivation

The vitality app is a good motivator. I have gotten a lot fitter physically and mentally. There are ok benefits as well. One thing though sometimes it does not pick up all your hard earned points, not all the time but it seems to be happening more.

Points registration

App really struggles to link steps and add the necessary value of points, numerous times I have registered 10k+ steps however recieved 0 points, no matter how many times you refresh the app, close it, turn Bluetooth on, log into Garmin and Apple health- points are regularly missed which you rely on to reduce premiums

Worst APP

This is one of the most frustrating apps I’ve used. Core functionality simply doesn’t work reliably, and the user experience feels poorly thought out.

Missing points are regularly not awarded, and when you try to resolve the issue, the process becomes a maze. The app frequently tells you to “open in the app” while you’re already using the app. Tapping these links often causes the screen to flash briefly before doing nothing, or it redirects you to a web page instead of the relevant section within the app.

The navigation is confusing and often sends you in circles. Tasks that should take seconds become unnecessarily complicated because the interface isn’t intuitive or user-friendly. Several areas appear unfinished or insufficiently tested.

Perhaps the most baffling issue is the missing points claims process. If users regularly need to claim missing points, why is there no clear “Missing Points” option when submitting a claim?
Even when you do find it, it offers every option but no missing points. Finding the correct route to report a problem is harder than it should be.

At this point, it’s difficult not to question whether this app has undergone proper usability or UI testing. The recurring bugs, broken navigation, inconsistent point tracking, and poor user experience make what should be a simple health and rewards app unnecessarily frustrating to use.

Vitality needs to focus less on adding features and more on making the existing ones work properly. Maybe they also need to know some of us don’t live in England and rewards should be accessible by all British users!

It’s not a random issue and it’s not isolated- it’s been continuous. I’ve spoken numerous times about this issue and it’s always on deaf ears. Three phones, two separate Os, deletion and reinstalling… UAT failure!
