I’ve been using Vivino for years, with over 1000 wines scanned. One off it is good, for wine list scans it is horrible. This day and age, no excuse for being so bad at scanning lists.

Really handy app to remind you which wines you’ve tried and liked/didn’t like.

App change
Do not get this app!!! I loved this app for years, but recently they changed it and they took away the ratings of the grapes and how they lined up in grapes of the region and grapes of the world that was one of my favorite parts of this app don’t know why they took it away. And then to top it off now they’re deceitfully charging for the
App and if you are not the person that checks your subscriptions often they would have you locked in for a $50 year. This app is now a scam! And I have lost years of a wine library. Way to ruin a great app!

J’utilise la version gratuite puisque je ne peux pas faire d’achat avec l’application. Donc même avec la version limité c’est très utile.

How to slowly ruin an app
What used to be a reliable and well engineered app is now unreliable (eg no
longer good at recognising labels, terrible at entering locations where you consumed wine) and takes many more clicks to do the routine tasks like entering a bottle you have drunk at a restaurant.
The designers seem confused about their aims - is it a platform to buy wine? Is it a review site? Is it to manage your wine collection?
And the introduction of AI is a truly spectacular fail - to be told I am drinking my first French cab sauvignon when there are hundreds of bottles of it in my Vivino records… and it seems now to get the grapes wrong in the wine descriptions quite often.
A shame.
Guess Cellar Tracker must be rejoicing.

New version is awful
The new version of the app is horrendous. The new team has made the app significantly more difficult to navigate requiring additional clicks and screens, moved features into locations that make no sense, removed a ton of useful information like taste profiles and grape types, pictures are now wonky. Really poor job.

The new changes are a joke. Only 20 wines in your cellar is ridiculous. Not all happy with Vivino. Definitely going to switch to another app

Wine offering
I am not about to buy any wine from the U.S. so it is pointless to have so many U.S. wines offered.

Used to be ecelllent
When I started with Vivino, they had great customer service. Now you can’t call in. I have charges for an order they couldn't fulfill, and the chatbot can’t resolve it. I’ve typed my fingers to the bone, interacting with the rect screen. It is terribly frustrating. They are evidently saving money by having me work harder. In any event, I’m still out $360. I'm out of Vivino, too.
