The worst.
Vivint app is either “unavailable”, needing to reboot or otherwise misidentifying things as malefactors or missing important things. It may have been the vanguard in times past, but this app is buggy, and it will not give you real time feedback when you need it. I’ve had my security system purposefully disarmed for house guests and it will miraculously arm when they enter—great welcome. In one such instance, after speaking with a representative from Vivint, the alarm was “turned off” only to find out that it continued (at incredibly loud volume in a dense neighborhood for 30 minutes) until the police were called—at which point Vivint was somehow unaware of entire conversation and that it disarmed the alarm. Very expensive way to have a deterrent—since that’s all that it really offers. Nest cameras and app from 2015 were superior.

Sucks…
Videos don’t load, videos pause to load and never start again, app won’t load camera view. Wanted to feel safe with this system but if I can’t watch an alert what’s the point. My fiance feel for this stupid contract I can’t wait till it’s paid off so we can switch even my ring camera that was ancient worked better than this newer system. Don’t waste your money hope they go out of business soon

To be honest I don’t know where to start. Some door to door salesmen locked us in in 2020. Long story short nothing has ever worked when we needed it too. I’ll get a notification super late and by the time I look at it they could have killed my whole family. The one time it worked I was on vacation and a window sensor fell off. Our camera was out of date (new one 500$) went on Amazon and they had 2 HD cameras for 60$ and they’re better no problems. Please do not waste your money as father

My customer almost 10 years my rates keep going up and the only way for me to get Discount is to commit for two more years even though half the equipment that I have doesn’t even work and they say it’s too old so I have to upgrade my equipment at my expense!

The app is garbage. It doesn’t load half the time. When it does the features don’t work. You can allegedly hook it to Alexa but that doesn’t work either. Camera playback doesn’t work when you need it. App crashes or freezes constantly.
The app got better for a while but now it’s back to crashing every single time I try to open it.
ETA: 2026 and the app is still SO SLOW. If I want to see who is at my door, I have to wait 5 minutes for it to load even it even loads at all. What is the point? Still doesn’t interface with Alexa. Still doesn’t work in real time.

My review keeps being deleted
Too pricey for it to be malfunctioning most of the time. Not to mention competitors have better pricing. Customer service is a nightmare. Every time I call for help they try to upsell every time. I am legit waiting til this contract is over and I’m running fast as possible away from this company.

Recent recordings issue
Since the new update, I am unable to view recent recordings the most recent recordings I can view are August 28th which is a major issue! If I needed to view a recording/event that I missed within those days I will not be able to.
Hate this system
I have had this system over 60 days and have only been able to use the cameras maybe 20 days. The app does not load live footage, it takes 3 weeks to get a technician out to fix things. This is a terrible security system.
Terrible quality
The cameras are supposed to be “high tech”…you can barely rewatch the camera feed and would need to wait 10 minutes to watch a 10 second recording…
