Not for Payroll ☹️
Affordable, easy to set up. Great for accounting, I’m happy with the expense tracking and receipt capture and bookkeeping system. However!! ‼️Payroll feature is a nightmare doused in gas rolling down a grassy hill in August‼️Trash. ZERO customer support. I emailed and chat requested 5 times in two weeks trying to run payroll for end of June after I hit a glitch.. it’s now the end of July and I obviously went with a different payroll service, (very happy with it) and still haven’t heard a whisper back from Waves “customer service”, which I had heard was at least decent. So, good and bad.

This app is almost scam
They will keep charging you but no way to cancel it. Eventually we had to talk to our bank.
Receipts
I downloaded this so that I could more easily upload receipts for transactions. But it doesn’t work as I would expect. When you take a picture of a receipt it creates a new transaction. I was hoping it would ask me to match the receipt to an already existing transaction so that I don’t have doubles. I wait to upload transactions until after wave pulls the bank transactions. Another option would be to search for the transaction and then add it, however there is no search function in the transaction view, only a filter. It would be so easy to have a search function so I could search for the exact amount of the transaction and then upload. That’s how I do it through the web browser interface on my phone but the web interface isn’t optimized for small phones. But I guess I’ll continue to do it that way for now.

Slow customer service
Customer service is slow. Emails take days to get a response for. Having an issue with payment processing for AMEX and after 7 days, and only after sending follow up emails do I get a response and unfortunately the response has no resolution.
Customer support
It’s a great app, but I’ve been needing customer support and all that Wave offers is an AI chat bot. It’s making things extremely difficult. Is there anyway I could get help?
App won’t even sign in
Stuck in the create account process. Deleted and wiped cookies and cache and still stuck. The website version works and I created my account. I just can’t log in on the mobile version and it keeps telling me to finish creating my account and then says we’re sorry there’s been an error. Deleted the app and gave up.

Force you to pay
After using the app successfully and being satisfied with it, now it will not load my products and there is no human support available unless you subscribe to their plan. If you are looking for a free invoicing software, this is not it.
Clunky
Not a well designed mobile app (poor contrast). Not useful with starter plan.
Very satisfied
With many apps charging 100’s for the service this app can give you for free or other plans that are still cheaper! The app is easy to navigate, I only see this app getting better!

Dare not to use this app unless you pay their subscription and want risk being a customer of a company which lets its users down.

Many users, including ones who felt forced to pay Waves after they stripped basic features, and others who were already paying customers, have had big problems with Waves, including their critical payroll system.
Look at how many people regret using Waves after so many problems and frustrations on online forums (a simple online search will do) and think twice before joining them.

Do not buy
I paid my fee for a full year. Two days of trying to get my bank accounts to work and no help from support. I asked for a refund and they said no. They are a rip off do not subscribe!
A child’s toy
As a seasoned professional accountant, my opinion is that wave is not worth the money. Their SaaS is terrible and business practices are less than friendly. They were super petty over refunding my first month, even though I only used the software for a week and found their SaaS completely inadequate. I really should’ve known better. It’s a very low value offering.
