It works! -female solo traveler

Went to Philly and got to stay in Theta hotel. it’s a super small boutique hotel, and it was really nice. I wouldn’t have found it without looking on Whimstay.

Cheaper than airbnb

I was about to book on airbnb and got an ad for the same place for a lot cheaper. Saved a bunch on my trip so I’ll use it again for sure

Where have you guys been?

I’m a digital nomad and a spontaneous traveler in general. I prefer Airbnb’s to hotels and always wondered why there wasn’t a hotel tonight option for rentals. Turns out there is!!! In the last year the wife and I booked 6 times on Whimstay. Never saved less than $500 every booking. Including a 10k!!!! savings on a 30 night stay. I almost don’t want people to find out about them so they don’t raise their prices. App worked great.

I found out about Whimstay when searching Google for a place to stay for an upcoming trip to see family out of state, and noticed how great their prices were. I decided to book and download the app to manage my reservation; it’s super easy to navigate and I can search for rentals right from the app to plan future trips. Think I found my new go-to!

Easy process, amazing stay

Needed to head to Chicago last minute and didn’t want to spend the major fees on Airbnb. A friend told me about Whimstay and it’s for sure going to be my future booking platform. Easy process and the host was amazing!! I saved $$$$ and everything was just as described. Highly recommend the platform.

Incredible Savings

I needed to book a rental for my birthday trip, and I was about to book on Airbnb when I saw the same property listed on Whimstay in Google Vacation Rentals. I am SO happy I clicked on that link, I saved $250 on the same stay for the same weekend just by booking through Whimstay. And the stay itself was perfect, super seamless. I’ll always be checking Whimstay first now!

Got a Great Price

Got an amazing price on a rental in Jacksonville. They say the best rates are within 30-days of my travel dates, but saved $200 for a booking 6 months away.

BEWARE!! Check your dates

I’m searching for a short term rental for 32-36 days in Arizona. The map is giving me listing prices for one week. If I had been naïve, I would’ve been out a lot of money. Generally, you should always check your dates when booking Rentals. Also, in Arizona if you book a rental for 30 days or more, you should get the monthly rental tax rate (about 1.5-3.5% or nill) and not the hotel tax rate (about 13.5%+) for most if not all circumstances. I don’t know about other states. AirBnB calculates this correctly. I don’t know about other sites yet. I know that some of them won’t even let you book for more than 30 days. SMH.

Great for last minute travel on a budget

Charged $500 extra fees days later after booking

This review is subject to change based upon how customer service handles my situation, but I’m very frustrated. No matter what quantity of guests you check out for, the price does not change. I booked a place that can sleep 12 but I checked out for 6 people knowing numbers were uncertain yet (trip is in August, and yes I checked if the price would change before doing so).

I got an email from the property saying that additional guests beyond 6 would be $75 each. Excuse me? If I booked it for 12 people at the same price, would you still have told me that? To me, it seems like a cash grab and I don’t like it. Either that, or they charge additional fees AFTER you check out, get your confirmation emails, etc. Either way, very maddening.

Just booked a stay in North Georgia Mountains and saved a couple hundred dollars compared to Airbnb options. Airbnb is getting ridiculous with all the high fees. I will always check Whimstay first going forward.
