Love this app but finally ran into a bad problem
I’ve used this app for a few years now and never had a problem with it. It was revolutionary in helping me learn how to budget and gain control of my finances. However, I finally ran into a problem with the app that has put me in a very bad financial position. The app for some reason unlinked all my accounts over the last few days and when I linked them again there appeared transactions not only from the last three days but also random transactions over the last month from many of my accounts. Because these random transactions didn’t go through in a timely manner, I grossly overspent, when I wouldn’t have otherwise. I still love the app, so 4 stars, but taking a star away for this problem it’s put me in

A Minor Complaint
I finally figured out how to transfer money between categories, and see monthly activity on my iPad app. This is not intuitive, and somehow I missed the change. It is also different from the iPhone. Otherwise, I’ve been using it forever, and it’s done a great job for me.
Wildly inaccurate and annoying to use
The title speaks for itself. I'm going back to using paper and an excel document...It's recommended by any accountant worth it's salt anyways.

This product is essential to me feeling in control of my money. It helps me be proactive and plan. It integrates well with banks and credit cards.

All live education workshops now scrapped, which was one of the reasons for the subscription model over paying them for a download.

Worth Every Cent
I have been using YNAB for 8 years and had a subscription the entire time. Its integration with our bank accounts and our credit cards has made reconciling and budgeting SO much easier.
It’s simple and easy to use, and, if you ever need help, their support has come through every time. 10/10 would recommend.

No historical transaction import!?!?
The biggest issue is that YNAB only starts pulling transactions from the day you connect your accounts. It doesn’t automatically import historical data, and manually bringing in past transactions is unnecessarily complicated.
That means if you want useful spending analytics or realistic budgets based on your actual habits, you basically have to wait a month or longer for enough data to build up. That feels outdated for a modern budgeting app. How are you supposed to set an informed grocery, dining, or utility budget without seeing what you’ve historically spent?
The UI is decent, but there also seem to be way too many features and sections for my needs. I wish the interface were more customizable so I could hide features I don’t use and focus only on budgeting, spending, and analytics.

YNAB ❤️
YNAB makes budgeting so easy. The app allows me access anytime. I can check any time to see if I should or should not spend, if need be. It’s wonderful and recommended highly.
Perfect Budgeting and Tracking for me
I have used YNAB for close to a decade at this point and it has been really helpful for budgeting and getting a picture of my financial picture. New features continue to roll out and it’s nice being able to customize all the categories I want in my budget.

The best app for budgeting, receipt saving, and overall money management. Works for the family and personal/corporate purposes.
Happy use for over a decade
I don’t generally recommend apps or products but I am a big fan of YNAB and truly think it has helped me get on top of my finances so that now—they’re right—I don’t worry about them. If you want clarity about where your money is going and how to manage it, I don’t know that there’s a better product out there.

Best Budgeting App
Have tried several other popular budgeting apps and they are all the same, hard to budget and stay on budget. YNAB is completely unique in the budgeting and connections between my bank, credit cards and loans are seamless. Going on my second year and still loving it. Have more control over my spending and savings then ever before. Recommend for everyone who hates budgeting. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Made me a millionaire
I’m not kidding. I have been using this app for 20+ years (since the desktop version). I was able to control my spending and save for a house and make monthly 401k contributions. I’m now a millionaire. 10/10. I’ll be able to retire with a paid off house and a steady income stream at 65.
Would be lost w/o this app
I love the YNAB philosophy, method, software and app. There is continuous improvement whenever there are issues.
A game changer!
Been using it for several years now . I switched from Quicken since it was not as efficient in helping with budget. YNAB is a game changer in allowing easy budgeting and planning ahead.
