Columns mishap
Won’t widen the columns …. It shuts the whole app down
Borderline useless across all platforms with big spreadsheets
Wanting to break away from the Google ecosystem with the news they can lock you out of your own documents without warning, I was suggested to download Zoho for both its Writer and Sheets apps. Today, I gave up and moved my spreadsheets back to Google Sheets. I moved over to Ellipsus for writing a couple of days ago.
While I have enjoyed the cross-platform compatibility as well as some of the features you don't get on Google Sheets, it has lately become clear this app is less polished and not well optimised for large spreadsheets with lots of moving parts in the background. Scrolling and entering data hits you with a lag of 3 to 5 seconds for it to complete, and a date counter I set up a few years ago now no longer keeps time due to such delays.
Absolute shame I have to move back to Google, because I thought this European-based anti-Google app had potential. I even felt a little proud when the ads started appearing at train and Tube station. It just doesn't cut the mustard, especially when out and about, for what I need it to do as a home, none-business user.
