Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: AppClose at 4.7 against 2houses's 4.0. AppClose also leads on ratings volume (40K vs 146) and chart position (#50 vs unranked). 2houses's advantage is review sentiment (49% vs 13%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. 2houses sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and AppClose sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

AppClose holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AppClose has 40K ratings behind it against 146, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of 2houses's written reviews are positive against 13% of AppClose's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
