See the loop OCD keeps you in, and practice leaving the thought unanswered. Conicia is a step-by-step program for living well with OCD: tools for hard moments, short lessons from a psychiatrist who treats it, and a journal that shows the pattern. Open it and it asks one question: what do you need right now? - OCD is loud. Practices for not acting on it, right now. - I have time to work on it. Your next lesson, read or listened to. - OCD got me earlier. Log it in the journal, and the pattern shows. TOOLS FOR HARD MOMENTS - Urge surfing: stay with an urge without acting on it. You set the length. Ocean sound, no timer on screen. - Unhook from a thought: write it down, put it on a leaf, and watch the stream carry it. Nothing is saved. - Caught in a loop: when you cannot stop going over it, two minutes of cards that help you set the question down unsolved. Not an answer. A way to stop circling. THE LESSONS Short lessons, a few minutes each, in Dr. Weston Fisher's own words: how OCD works and what it has you doing, what sets it off, facing what it has you avoiding, where the doubt really starts, living alongside OCD, and staying well. Draws on exposure and response prevention (ERP), inference-based CBT, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), not just one. Read them, or listen: Audiobook mode plays lesson after lesson with your screen locked, and you can keep a chapter's audio on your phone for a flight or the subway. THE EXERCISES Guided writing exercises from the lessons: map your triggers, take stock of your safety behaviors, build your exposure ladder from easiest to hardest, write the alternative story, plan your response to a slip. Your answers are saved to your account. THE OCD JOURNAL Catch OCD in the act. When it shows up, log what set it off, what it pushed you to do, and what you did instead. A minute per moment, in three short steps. Each week you see the urges you did not feed and the time compulsions took. Week by week, the pattern shows. THE WEEKLY CHECK-IN Five questions, about a minute, once a week. How OCD has been this week, in one chart over time. For tracking, not diagnosis. IF YOU WORK WITH A CLINICIAN Connecting is free and your choice. Your clinician can follow your progress, assign readings and exercises that fit you, open the parts meant to be done together (guided exposures, the medication lessons), leave you voice notes for hard moments, and open your app with you in session, on one screen. WHO MADE IT Conicia is two people: Dr. Weston Fisher, a psychiatrist who has specialized in OCD for more than a decade, and a product manager who has OCD. No AI chatbot anywhere in it. No reassurance on tap. No streaks, no badges, no feed. Short practices you use and leave. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No ads, no ad trackers, and no third-party analytics companies in the app - What you write is encrypted, and access is limited and audited - Optional Face ID lock - Delete your account and its data from inside the app, any time WHAT IT COSTS - Free with an account, for good: your first lesson, the three tools for hard moments, and the OCD journal. - The full program: $20 a month or $144 a year, and your first 7 days are free. We email you before the first charge, and you can cancel in two taps in the app. GOOD TO KNOW - Conicia is educational and self-management only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, and it is not for the diagnosis or treatment of any condition, including OCD. Talk to your clinician before making decisions about your care. - Conicia is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 24/7). In immediate danger, call 911. Outside the US, findahelpline.com lists free helplines worldwide. - A Conicia account is required. Reading, exercises and tools work offline. - Clinician-connected features are available in the United States.
