  • Great but sometimes there’s Glitch in adding videos

Sometimes when you try to add videos on jira tickets during ticket creation or adding comments! it gives you errors but however if you edit it then you can add the videos, it definitely needs to be fixed!
  • Rarely usable for my use cases

It’s okay but rarely usable for my use cases.

The board view always has tickets in the wrong column (repeated in all columns).

    Many ticket fields aren’t shown.

Code blocks get truncated and not scrollable, which is used by our devops tool to generate tickets with stack traces.

So I usually have to open tickets in browser view. And switch to desktop mode to navigate. What a messy experience.

  • Great Add-on to JIRA

The mobile JIRA has a lot of the features of desktop/web JIRA, and makes it easy for me as a manager to get a quick update in a meeting as to where we stand in the sprint. One thing missing would be auto-complete in advanced search. For instance, basic search does not allow me to filter baby sprint, but advanced search does not offer me suggestions as I type, like web version does. So advanced search on mobile is not really useful to me. But all else is good. It’s very smooth Andriy I can do a lot more on the app than I had expected.

  • I have to consciously avoid using this app

This app is still useless. I have to remember to avoid using it. Today, I made the mistake of opening an Epic in this app. After working with the problem for a while, I needed to create a new issue in that Epic. Ooops! That’s one of the things that Atlassian thinks is not important, so that was impossible. I had to kill the app, open a web browser, log into Jira, find the same epic by searching, and then create the issue. What a waste of time. What is the point of this app? Why does it exist? I keep forgetting that it’s nothing but a roadblock and I keep accidentally using it. I always regret it.

2023 Update: It’s been YEARS since I wrote that review and there is STILL no way to create a new issue in an Epic in this iOS app. Why do people use this app? I’m deleting it yet again, and making a mental note to remind myself not to fall for Atlassian pushing it on me again.

Atlassian, how does it make sense to you to offer such wildly, confusingly different interfaces through different channels? How does it make sense to you to simply not implement mission-critical functionality in the iOS app? Am I using Epics wrong by adding sub-issues or something?!? I wonder at least once a week why we still use Jira when it’s never going to get any better.

    Developer Response

Hi Ryan, we've been listening and I wanted to let you know that we've just added iPad support. We hope you like it!
  • I develop jira and I love the product

Jira is better than google calendar. Change my mind
  • Alexander

Too many messages, it is insane. They will find a way to send an email, tired of unticking, unsubscribing, deleting, erasing, blocking and etc. and finally got email in spam folder that they will delete my account, please be my guests!!! Tomorrow expect another one “are you sure we are going to delete it?”. STOP

  • Great project management tool

    Efficient
  • Damn “open in app” button never works.

Every time I get a notification email and I click the link on my phone, it takes me to the web page in mobile view. From there, I click the “open in app” button, and 9 times out of 10, it takes me to the App Store. I don’t have this issue with any other app…
  • Comment scroll bug

Great except one really annoying bug. When you leave a comment longer than a few lines, you can’t see what you’re typing. Needs to automatically scroll to the bottom and allow scrolling within the comment.
  • Can't load video

    I'm on 1.5G bell fiber yet couldn't even load a 14mb video.
