  • The BEST adblocker on iOS

All of the “free” ones never work and have dubious privacy policies, and/or are trying to sell you a “pro” subscription.
This app just works after a one-time purchase to support the developer. If you’re on the fence for this one, just do it.
  • Not blocking popups

I bought this because it said it could block popups but it doesn’t, I still have to click 5-7 times to finally click the real link
  • Fantastic app / safari extension

Does what it says. I have already recommended it to a lot of other iPhone users. Thank you Kaylee!
  • Great adblocker.

I have tried so many other adblockers and they barely function this is hands down the best one on iOS and worth every dollar.
  • It just works (make sure to enable Wipr Extra)

I will be honest. This is like any other adblocker in the App Store. The big difference is Wipr Extra feature which gets rid off stubborn ads on social media platforms like the bird site or the alien site if you know what I mean. It's the only thing that blocks them consistently but it's easy to overlook so make sure to enable Wipr Extra on all websites for all your profiles to see this in action under Settings.

This is also a great content blocker in general compared to the others because you will run into far fewer false positives and it is not conflicting with other extensions like some other blockers do. It also doesn't come with any of the VPN/DNS bloatware which again causes conflicts. Just a simple content blocker on the surface but extremely potent in the background. This is a must-have on Safari for iOS.

  • Test Results

Long time Adguard Pro user here. For Safari Wipr is lighter, simpler, more effective, and more up to date than any other blocker extension I’ve tried.

Using test pages that can be found with a simple web search, Wipr consistently blocked 100% of test ads, did so without any tinkering necessary besides a quick and easy initial setup, and did so without any subscription necessary.

Adguard Pro only blocked 90% of ads on the same test, despite a much larger selection of block lists, and despite their advanced blocking equivalent to Wipr Extra. And updating lists in Adguard is a long and intensive task, in my experience they do not update for you automatically. Wipr is set it and forget it.

For both MacOS and iOS I now pair Wipr for Safari with Adguards DNS configuration profile for the best system wide blocking experience. Wipr is indispensable

(Update: I was mistaken, adguard does apparently update in the background. My testing results still stand.)

  • Just works

Works great also doesn’t collect data
  • Best blocker I have used. And I have used a lot of them.

Wipr Is the most effective and trouble free ad blocker I've ever used. It also blocks other annoying things such as cookie announcements. In many cases, it's not detected as an ad blocker, so you can often visit a site without having to turn it off. It will make your web browsing faster and more secure.

One of the features I like best is that it requires no configuration. You install it and that's it. It just works and automatically updates in the background. If you need full access to a site, including ads, it's very easy to turn off in Safari. The developer accepts feedback, which clearly shows in the product. I've tested Wipr with a variety ad block test websites and it always scores 100%.

When you use Wipr with Safari's "hide ip" and "block crossite tracking," you will have a very secure web browsing experience. Turn on "Private Relay" (a free Apple proxy server) to add an additional layer. On a public network, use a VPN to encrypt all your network traffic. Wipr works flawlessly with all of these.

I just wish it was available for Windows as well. Great product and absolutely worth the purchase price.

  • The only app that doesn’t slow down safari

With adguard and the others I would get the bugged back button and lots of freezes and slow downs. This one blocks everything and safari is super snappy. Been using it for months, I am super happy with it.
