Reviews of Awair Home

  • Displeasure with Product Lifecycle Management

I would like to express my disappointment regarding the product lifecycle management of the Awair. While I initially appreciated the concept and found great satisfaction in using the product for a number of years, my experience took a sharp downturn when the company chose to discontinue all previous versions, leaving my once reliable device rendered obsolete.

The abrupt decision to "sunset" all products, excluding the latest version, has raised concerns about the longevity and reliability of the company's offerings. As a consumer, I value consistency and continuity in the services and products I invest in. The uncertainty surrounding the potential discontinuation of any product at any given time creates a sense of unease, making it difficult for me to confidently commit to purchasing current or future products.

I believe that a more transparent and customer-centric approach to product discontinuation is essential for maintaining trust and loyalty among consumers.
  • Excellent product

I have the Awair as well as an AirThings model. The Awair absolutely rocks. I can view air quality even when I’m away from home and it updates quickly. The AirThings requires a local Bluetooth connection and you have to hit refresh to see new data. I don’t understand the negative reviews of the Awair. I’d recommend it to anyone.
  • Beware this company

After buying the pricey hardware you think you can use it as long as you want. However, you can really only get a few guaranteed years before the company disables your product. The company has decided to no longer support certain models that are more than a few years old, and probably will continue to do that going forward. The result is the app won’t connect any longer so the hardware is basically a paperweight. They’ve ignored repeated customer support requests to fix.
