  • Android phone issues

    What is the work around for android phone users to get notifications pushed through? This is a problem with several people I work with and they have already changed the settings on their phone to accept notifications.
  • Long delays in sending messages

    For an urgent medical messaging app you’d think someone would have figured out how to send messahes more quickly, but 10-minute lag times in delivering messages are not uncommon on Voalte. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. It’s not a connectivity problem; other apps work perfectly well. It’s just a clunky, evidently poorly made app that doesn’t do its primary job very well. If you’re a user I feel your pain; if you’re a decision-maker I recommend looking elsewhere. How am I supposed to serve urgent needs when Voalte takes 10 or 15 minutes to deliver a message?

  • Disconnects from Bluetooth devices

    Voalte has its gremlins, but overall it’s a decent app.

    My biggest complaint is that when a new message comes in, it will cause any Bluetooth connections to be temporarily severed, which is annoying and can be inconvenient. I work in a community work room provided for physicians, and usually I will wear headphones when I am in there so as not to disturb the other physicians if I listen to music while charting. Occasionally I will take phone calls with my headphones in as well. If a Voalte message comes in from a nurse, the headphones will stop working temporarily and will kick the call back to the handset, making phone calls nearly impossible and forcing me to awkwardly abandon the headphones and switch mid-call. This would likely be a 4-5 star app if that was fixed. I sincerely hope if someone from the development team sees this, they can roll out a fix to prevent the Bluetooth disconnection in the future.

  • Needs to be able to override silent

    We switched to Voalte. Overall the communication is good. However there is a key feature that is missing they our old app had. This needs to have the ability to override the silent setting. When I am working I want my phone on silent to be professional. Nobody needs an espn alert when I am I. The hospital. However when my phone is on silent it also silences the Voalte messages. If this is fixed then I think it’s a five star app. But they key missing feature makes the app less for professionals.

  • Crashes and delays all the time

    I have been using this app for 3 years on newest versions and iOS’s on iPhone X and 13. Despite having most up to date software and devices, this app continues to function as it if we’re programmed by a kindergartner. It is frequently crashing when you tap the icon to open it. After you receive an alert and tap to open it takes another 30 seconds to receive the actual text. Code Blue pages sometimes don’t come through for a whole minute, if at all. I’ve reported these errors previously to the manufacturer and my institution and they’ve “worked in conjunction” to fix them. 2 years later absolutely nothing has changed. I have used a different app with a different institution named TigerText with which in three years I have not once experienced the above problems. It even allows secure voice dictation and is functional by allowing reading messages on your Apple Watch. I know it is possible to build a functional effective secure messaging app. Voalte is probably the cheapest option because it is neither functional nor effective. Anyone considering this system for their institution I STRONGLY recommend you look at literally any other messaging service.

  • Buggy and problematic

    For this magnitude of app who’s serving
    huge and important healthcare systems communication which is one of the most important aspect of care it fails to that job well.
    App crashes often. When type a name to start a message won’t pull up all possible options for that name. Sometimes even typing full name won’t bring up the contact (then you have to manually go fine the person from department directory etc), notifications won’t get cleared after reading new messages, when have new message and notifications and you open the app and the person who sent the message, it won’t show the message for a few min before it loads. If you get more than one new messages from multiple people and you click on the older one to read then in several second it kicks you out if that and takes you to the newest messages once it’s loaded regardless if your already in middle of reply.
    Very kindly and buggy app for this magnitude.

  • Crippling issue as of update

    As of the update yesterday every iPhone user in my hospital is unable to get into the app which as caused communication to break down and affected patient care. This is extremely problematic. If voalte support is aware of this issue and knows a resolution what would be the best way for us to communicate

  • Allowing

    Excellent app but I’m using in my iPhone I’d like the app allow to see the message in my watch I got the notification but I can’t read please allow to see the message over to watch.

  • Can’t see who’s calling me

    As a nurse manager sometimes I get outside calls that I can’t answer and spend time at the moment. If I could see my team was calling I would know if I should answer no matter what or let it go to VM. App kills my battery every single day. I am 24/7 coverage. And there is no way to turn off the in house alerts that I don’t need in my bed at home. It constantly stalls and I have to close and reopen. I miss alerts due to that! I do like I can sign in to all of f the areas I am covering and cover for my colleagues. I can hold
    Multiple roles at one time but that was built at an organizational level I’m sure. Doc complain a lot about how slow the texting is when your going between text, I see the same issue. We text to our personal phone between leadership bc app is annoying!

  • Just when you think Voalte can’t get any worse…

    Just did the update and I’m regretting it. Now my app just goes into “reconnecting” but I don’t know that unless I have it open on my screen. As a result, I missed 19 pages last night including several STAT pages. I had to log on to a desktop in order to get my messages. How do I give zero stars?
