Great update
What a huge update on this online bank platform . Highly reviewed now it’s up to par with other online banks and maybe even better now

it seems both the website and this app as compared to SoFi, Varo, Credit Karma etc., was created by a grade school kid on his lunchbreak. There are no features, and when they do, it tells you theres a internal error. customer sevice is 9-5 and one of them tells me the system is down, but when i call back a minute later, the next person answering says no system down. not to mention the 30 day wait to access your money. this app and bank is a total wreck! Get the Sofi Bank app, its the complete opposite of this mess of an app. smh

Worst Banking Experience
I have used a few online savings accounts over the years to keep an emergency fund in and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. The APY was attractive and overall reviews were good. I transferred funds from another online savings bank and the money arrived in a day. I quickly realized that I was unable to add an external bank account or even access Zelle. I was told that in order to withdraw funds it had to be initiated by an outside bank. Something felt weird so I tried to withdraw money to my regular bank account. It was either canceled or rejected. It took several phone calls and e-mails to start to get anywhere. I felt as if my money was being held hostage and what if I actually needed that money? After two weeks of phone calls and even a 3 way phone call with my regular bank was I able to start the process of closing my account. My money is now back safe in my original account. What a waste of time with Quontic. I am hoping that this was just bad luck, however I recently saw reviews with very similar experiences. Had I seen those reviews I would have never wasted my time. Look elsewhere.

Avoid this bank!!!
Initial funding is quick and easy. Then you find out after they have your money that you can’t link external accounts or make transfers for at least 30 days. The app itself would not function properly as the secure message feature would not scroll, making it useless. Customer service does not know there stuff: decided to close the account and was told I could not do that until the account was open for 15 days. Okay, I can wait I said. Then they changed it to no withdrawing/closing for 90 days!! Same agent, same phone call. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Shady operation at best.

NO External Acc. Transfers
It’s shocking Quontic doesn’t enable an account holder to transfer money to/from external accounts!
A user can transfer funds using an external bank to initiate the transfer. But from within the Quontic App and website, it is not possible. Even the funding account is not automatically linked for transfers!
Zero stars for this reason. Barclay’s, Marcus, Discover Bank, etc. ALL enable transfers to/from external funding account automatically from the get go.

The app is bad
Not to mention confusing and hard to use. If you’re just looking for a mobile bank, use Chime. It’s exponentially better
Worst banking experience I’ve had
I was taken in by the high APY for the online savings account, but the app and the mobile website DO NOT let you add external transfer accounts. Zelle does not work, Plaid does not work. I can’t believe a bank advertising themselves as an “adaptive digital bank” can’t manage to have the same digital functionality as my old credit union which has no app and has a website that seems to have been developed in the 90s. Halfway convinced this is a scam and I’m shocked this app is rated so high as it has no functionality. It does constantly ask you to share your location data though, so we know what their motivations are. Will be closing my account once I’m able to get my money out.

Hire a decent app developer.
I haven’t seen an app this bad since 2010, I can’t find any information over my account, very minimalistic application, and their site is the same. I don’t get notifications for anything, the only documents that I can find are e-statements, nothing about opening my account, can’t find my debit card limits or anything.

Absolute Trash
Imagine a bank run by people who hate you. Welcome to Quontic Bank! Their mobile app is 2005 levels of bad. You can’t deposit checks greater than $5k, you can’t order checks in app or online (it errors out and support knows it), their ABA number isn’t supported by check companies, and their app will only work over Wi-Fi. It’s insanity. Do yourself a favor and get any other bank and throw this company in the trash. Their paid reviews and awards are as fake as their “advanced technology”.

Innovative accounts- awful bank app
If I tried to try and use Quontic as my main bank account I would have closed the account right after I opened it given how terrible their app is.
It’s about as basic and barebones as you can get…even their actual online banking through a browser is garbage too. Currently can’t add an external accounts for transfers at all with Quontic.
The only reason I’m keeping this is for the Bitcoin reward account. There is no other account like this currently. If there ever is an option to open a similar account elsewhere I’m sure I’ll close this account if Quontic doesn’t update their app experience.
But right now it’s a secondary account and I like the idea of getting cash back in Bitcoin since that can actually appreciate overtime.
I would say to Quontic to focus less on “being innovative” for the time being and focus on cleaning up your app and online experience to actually bring it into the 21st century. Innovative accounts are great but without good online tools I’m not sure what good an online bank is.
