Really buggy app I wouldn’t buy the bottle until this is fixed
Awesome concept - app could be made even more awesome!
1) I’d love Apple Watch compatibility with a compilation on my watch face to keep an eye on my intake there too.
2) The app doesn’t seem to adjust the goal up frequently enough. For example I’ll be on goal, take a walk at 18:00 but the app won’t recognise I need to drink more due to activity till about 21:00. This has happened a couple of times.
3) I have a set few cups and glasses I use and I know the capacity of. I’d love it if I could add custom containers on the manually add page to be able to quickly add what I’ve consumed outside the bottle.

Combines hardware and software
I treated myself to the water bottle after reading the book Atomic Habits. I wanted to cultivate a new habit to drink more water. The visual cues of the bottle with the automatic tracking make it easy and effortless which is the hallmarks of implementing new habits if you want to be successful.
I also love the personalisation of how much water I should be drinking. I realise being 6ft6 I am a lot taller than the average which of course means I should be drinking more than the average. With this personalised daily hydration figure I am able to finally know how much I should be drinking.

Love! But maybe some updates?
I will say, I wish the batteries lasted longer. I know that can vary on brand and batteries and what not as well.. but a bottle design that somehow incorporates a charging design of some sort. Instead of replaceable batteries.
As far as the app goes, I’d love the option to “nudge” a friend if they’re falling behind on their goal mark. Kind of as a little motivation here and there. I love the competition aspect for fun reasons, but I also love how it can be used as a tool for providing support to friends and family ❤️ My boyfriend now has one as well and we help push each other towards our goals 👩❤️👨

Needs more improvements
UPDATE: After playing around and tapping every possible button, I found the workaround for syncing my contacts without Facebook, which is aligned with what the developers said. I also had to mess around to find a way to connect the Apple Health app. Once these UI issues are fixed, it’ll be a much better app. With that said, I really enjoy this app and service.
Huge Bug and ideas for improvement!
But as for the app - there are some issues. A huge bug I noticed is when I clicked “more” in the bottles tab, it gave me a long list with options I don’t think I’m supposed to have - for example: It gave me an option to downgrade the bottles firmware, gave me the option to look at a list of “debug” info, it also gave several other options that any regular user shouldn’t have. Another thing that happened is when that menu was up it showed my exact battery percentage (59%) of my bottle (note that this only happened once and it hasn’t happened since, but this was only a few hours ago). This brings me to my next section - ideas for improvement. It would be way better in my opinion to have the exact percentage of battery available. Another idea I had is for the user to be able to set exact times in the day for the bottle to notify you to drink.
All in all, this is a great bottle and app and thanks for taking the time to read this!

Just touch Settings (Gear icon on lower right) - touch More - Give Feedback, and shoot us a message. The menu with options to see the debug info, downgrade/upgrade firmware isn't a bug and will help troubleshoot, should you have any issues with the bottle. :) Thank you again! - Hidrate Team
App is great! Only one complaint
On a completely different note, it will occasionally have issues connecting with my bottle. Usually after I exit the app, turn off and back on my Bluetooth, and reopen the app, it will work. That’s a little frustrating though.
