  • Great App - Great Updates

I want to start off by saying I almost never review apps, but people looking at this deserve to understand how well this app is supported.

This app has always had regular updates that both introduce new features and fix issues encountered. Iโ€™ve always felt this is one of the apps that has most definitely always had co start attention from the developer unlike most. They listen, they fix, they tweak, they modify the look and feel base on modern changing ways, I really canโ€™t say enough good about it.

Are there bugs and issues every once in a while sure, but thatโ€™s a sign of evolution and they are always quick to address and provide future updates that address these and other concerns.

  • New clients view is terrible. Bring back old please.

Please revert back to the old client view or at least make it an option to bring it back.
Too much empty wasted space and the information I really care about has been made tiny and what I hardly care about is now huge.
  • New Client list is very bad

The new client list is awful. I wish i could go back to previous release. This new list is totally useless
  • New client list view is worse than old one

Too much spacing between clients and details are much harder to visually differentiate. The old version of client list was much more useful and easier to quickly read.
  • Can't connect anymore

It seems like the latest firmware update of my Dream Machine locked me out of my desktop (was able to get back in by switching the usual 8443 port to 443 but nobody told me that?) but the iOS app will no connect anymore. The support is non existant, which is a shame for a product that costs this much.

  • Appalling treatment

Buyer beware, ubiquity treats their customer's hardware purchases with contempt and have little regard for the expense to update existing clients. We have endured all sorts of ridiculous redundancy over the years with Wi-Fi, and now these security camera systems have been made redundant with stupid cloud two updates. Other systems by other companies still run after a decade, and these guys make you for shell out more cash for their indulgence in questionable updates. All this hysteria about other security camera providers is just ridiculous e we hen you consider what these upstart brats have done to bleed another dollar. I now direct clients to other platforms because itโ€™s not worth the embarrassment to go back and tell them UniFi will ask for more cash.

  • Good app but canโ€™t disable remote access

I canโ€™t disable remote login under settings > remote access > sync local admin with ubiquiti account > no > save. It stays enabled after save and I cannot disable local login with my ubiquiti account :(
  • Very handy and helpful

For someone with a unify ecosystem for a simple home managed network, this is very useful and user friendly. Could have some more features and some functionalities being more straight forward but is still a great and stable interface for a remote management of a local LAN. Recommended and so far very happy.

  • The app is as good as their hardware

I have been very disappointed in ubiquity. They advertise clear and easy to use and monitor networking equipment; however, thatโ€™s just their marketing. In actuality, there equipment and software is not production ready and doesnโ€™t provide information regarding error it experiences. I have been working to two weeks to get their nanohd working. It lead me to download this app. After removing all their equipment from my network and attaching only the nanohd. I went to connect to it using this app. The progress circle completed to about 95% then stopped and wouldnโ€™t continue. This is common user experience with Ubiquityโ€™s products. They never work and most the time donโ€™t tell you what the issue is. Save your money stay away from this company.

  • Generally very good

I have a single AP in a domestic environment. This app makes it really easy to update the AP and perform day to day management.

However, a recent change to iOS means the WiFi is shown as having weak security. This appears to be because the AP is using WPA2 with TKIP, which cannot be disabled using the iPhone App. It looks as if the only way round this is to install the full UniFi Controller on a PC, which should not really be necessary.
