Amazing and helpful audition app!
I had an audition I had to get on tape, but like most actors I didn't have someone to read the other lines. Slatable came through in a pinch for me. I was able to make a title page, and get my addition in on time with no help. It's very easy to use! I highly recommend this app to any actor!
Helpful tool for every actor!
I have used this app many times! As actors we are all very busy people and often have very little time to actual deal with the digital aspect of taping a self tape. Many times I have not been able to find a reader and Slatable has drastically saved me! I booked two jobs when I used slatable app. Yeah!

Just what I needed
After horrible experiences of running out of room on my phone memory and the tedium of splicing together a tape on iMovie, this app has answered my prayers. I would suggest giving yourself several silent seconds at the end of each take so the fades don't cut in. Other than that, I shaved off hours and days from my self-taping experience. Great features like reordering your takes and recording audio when you have no reader. Thank you!

Cuts off your take to fade
I had three great takes for my daughter for her three scenes. It was a very short audition window and our first time using the app. She went to bed. I went to work on Slatable. All three takes were ruined by the app's compile feature which takes off about one second from the front and one second from the back in order to fade to black. You can not turn it off. You can not set a shorter fade. You can not save your original takes and just use them. So, you have to overshoot by a second and then perfectly trim to work with their fade function. It is really frustrating and defeats the whole purpose of the app supposing to make it easy. My advice to Slatable - Do not mess with or trim the takes!!

Cool idea, but needs improvements
The idea is nice, but the app keeps crashing on combining videos. Interface is not intuitive and app keeps crashing on combining. Doesn't worth money

This would be so good!
This looked so promising. Great idea! The trim does not work very well. Only let's you trim a little ways into the clip. Compile video crashes every time so program is unusable.

So sorry you're having issues with the app. There are several things that might be going on when you try and compile your video. If you restart your phone and relaunch the app that sometimes fixes the issue. Also please make sure you have allowed the app access to your photo library and lastly you have enough memory! Please don't hesitate to contact us through our support page so we can take this further if needed.
Must have for actors
The user interface is good (took me a little while to figure out tap/hold to reorganize recorded clips) and the exporting is bit limited (dropBox or save to device), but the video quality is excellent and so much faster than editing in iMovie or exporting and editing on a computer.
Really well done for a free app. Must have for any actor.

Life saver
I adore this app. If you are an actor, you need to have this. I am based in LA but have agents in Atlanta and NY. I can't tell you how many auditions I've had to put on tape. This app is great to be able to send in professional looking auditions in a timely manner. It is easy to use and it keeps getting better with every update. Genius! I'm so happy to finally have an app like this. I tell everyone I know about it. Spread the word.

Are you an actor? Then get this!
This apps a no brainier! At some point every actor has to put themselves on tape, and this app allows you to do that, while being self sufficient and not having to rope your buddy into help you or pay a studio to do it! And it's soo easy to use, while giving you a very professional look to you takes. Love this app! Every actor should get it! Like I said it's a no brainer!!
