  • Helpful organization app!

The development team is responsive and when I make suggestions it seems like they're really listening and will work on improving the user experience.
  • Not working for my needs

Okay if only use pre-packaged foods with UPC, or common fruits/veggies. Unfortunately, I wanted something to keep my freezers inventoried (homemade meals, soups, spiced meats, own-created mixed veggies packets, etc.). I went to add my first meal and it was looking for a grocery store item. I selected custom and it wanted to know unit of measurement, count was not an option. This is just not useful for custom items. After trying to add the first few items, I gave up in frustration.

Hi! We're sorry to hear that the app did not meet your expectations for tracking custom items. Regarding adding count when manually creating an item, we will definitely add this to our list of improvements. In the meantime, you can skip adding measurement when you create and once the item is created, you can update the quantity. Please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@kitchenpalapp.com for any further assistance. Thank you!
  • Do it now

This is the type of home information I have been waiting for! The real power of the internet to help with dinner! I have options for that one thing that is expiring!
  • Great App - I want more though

The app can be used to scan items in and out of your kitchen inventory and let’s you rename them so they order how you like naming them. It works well at tracking items but I have also submitted some fixes that they said they will work on, such as not accidentally creating a new item type if you scan from the master list rather than the inventory you have renamed. Very responsive to feedback and support requests.

  • Has potential

It has some great potential, but the biggest negatives are adding new recipes. You can’t see the suggestions for each section as it goes off the page, and inventory-to-recipe was the main appeal for me

    Developer Response

Hi! Thank you for using KitchenPal and for sharing your feedback with us. :) Regarding your concern when adding new recipes manually, we'll take note of your feedback and add this to our list of improvements -for the users to see suggestions, like when typing the ingredient names. Should you have other suggestions or feedback, please feel free to write to us at support@kitchenpalapp.com. Also, please note that our users can also submit links to the recipes from other blogs/sites. It may take our team a couple of days to sometimes approve the recipes though (we check to see if everything is imported correctly). Our team is also working on automating this process so our users won't have to wait for our approval. :) Thank you!
  • Print

How do you print the list?
  • Love this but crashes quite a bit

Love this app! It has been so useful for me. I don’t buy extra items because I think I am out of them when I am not. This also equates to more space in the pantry and less time running around to return unnecessary purchased items. The only thing I don’t like… is that when I am adding items, the app freezes or crashes a lot of the time.

Hi! Thank you for using KitchenPal and for your kind words. We're glad to hear that it's been useful for you. We also apologize for the crashes you're experiencing when adding items, this is definitely not normal. We have reached out to you over email, to find a solution for this. Thank you!
  • Fantastically Free

I’m considering buying the full version for life.
  • Only limited item in free version

Should be listed as a pay app, it’s only “free” for people who maintain less then a few items in their inventory.
  • What do I have? Where is it? When does it expire?

Easy to control food inventory. I love being able to create more food places ( second fridge/freezer).
Extensive food by barcode scan library (even for foods in Australia) plus easy to add items.
I love the “expires by” feature, and ease of use, even when adding your own foods and taking photographs. Well worth buying the complete version.
