  • Gem of an Idea

This should be mandatory in every household. I paid for the lifetime plan after 2 days of using. I have the whole family on board.
  • Poor

Not what I was expecting or needing
Very few recipes I would even consider
  • So far so good!

I downloaded 4 different apps. This one one is the easiest to start right in with. No extra connecting. I have a large pantry so I want the initial installation of all those items to be relatively smooth. The scan feature is great! I love that I can upload my own recipes. I have multiple houses and freezers so being able to create my own storage places is an excellent feature! My only question at this point has more to do with the subscription. Can I jump in lifetime after a trial or does the option for lifetime go away when I choose monthly?

  • Pantry Organization Made Easy

I used to go to the grocery store and then come back home only to realize that I’d just purchased things that I already had at home. If you’re looking at this app you know that feeling of “Why did I buy X product again when I had three bottles already?!” If you were like me it was because those bottles of ketchup were hidden in the back the deep dark pit my wife lovingly calls “the pantry”. Now that we have this app (which lets us share the inventory between our smart phones) we know exactly what we have on hand (and where it lives in our kitchen) so that I’m not constantly buying new stuff when it’s not necessary. Great app for budget minded folks who don’t like throwing stuff away simply because it got forgot about in the pantry.

  • Excellent

    Facile à utiliser
  • Excellent App

I’ve been using this App for a while and have always found it very easy to use. Had a problem with my saved kitchen over a weekend, the support desk couldn’t have been more helpful in resolving the problem quickly. Excellent service and highly recommended
  • Customer Service

I am not a person that normal writes reviews. I recently purchased the Premium plan because I was pleased with how the inventory system worked. However I had typed in the wrong email address when I set it up, it was not an email address I had. I contacted them about the error and they were so good to fix my mistake. Very kind and gracious.

Five stars also with the app also. I’ve been trying to manage our pantry and freezers with a spreadsheet for a few years. Daunting task. This has taken that dreaded chore away😊

  • Just saying

It appeared to be a free app did not see any reviews about pricing. After using the app for a short time found that you have limited scans and you can pay a monthly fee a yearly fee or a lifetime fee. But I already had it set up with the household so I had to purchase one. I was not completely thrilled about that because I had other ones that I did like they had pricing but we’re already using this so making the best of the situation.

Hi! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry that it wasn't clear that we have a paywall (for adding more than 100 items to the kitchen) but since we do not share our user data with partners or have interruptive ads, subscriptions are the only way we can continue to invest and build the app for our users. Users can use most of the features with 100 Kitchen items for free. You mentioned that you purchased our Premium, could you please send us an email so we can check if the rest of your household members are also under Premium? We'll be happy to upgrade their account(s) to Premium for free so all of you in your house can access our Premium Features. Thank you!
  • It’s just ok -

I got this app because I thought it would be really great to take an inventory of my kitchen since I feed a family of 10 yes there’s a lot of us grandma kids grandkids you name it. However the storage Spaces are not re-organisable so you’re stuck with the order that they give them to you in. Uploading your own recipes is a hassle you have to wait for approval. I don’t necessarily like the pictures for the inventory and you can’t get away from that you can’t change to list view I just feel like you should be able to personalize this a little bit more to your own liking. And now it’s a big hassle for me because I have this app which is great for inventory and then I have another app that is my absolute favorite for recipes and menu planning kind of a bummer.

Hi! Thank you for using KitchenPal and we're sorry that you faced some issues while using the app. Regarding your concern on storage spaces, our Premium Users have the option to rearrange the order of their Storage Spaces -just simply click 'Edit Storage', then do a long press and drag your custom storage(s)/or the original storages upwards or downwards. For your uploaded recipes, our apologies if you had to wait for approval, we check to see if everything is imported correctly -but we are also working on automating this. :) For the List View option, this is available to both Single Screen View [where items are arranged by predefined product categories] and Multi Tabs View (just click the top right corner, beside the sort icon). While for the meal planner, our team is already working on it. Since we are a small team, we hope you will be patient with us till then. Should have any other questions or concerns, please write to to us at support@kitchenpalapp.com. Thank you!
  • Great App - Room to Grow

Overall I am satisfied with KitchenPal. It offers an intuitive UI that’s quick and easy to use. Plenty of filters to show what’s in your pantry. Removing an item will automatically add it to your shopping list, one of my favorite features. Cross-platform let’s my wife and I manage our kitchen and stock. Best of all the app is semi-regularly updated and offers affordable upgrade prices.

A few suggestions I would like to add to the developer:
    * Add in iOS Shortcuts scripting. On iOS we can add automation steps using our Shortcuts app. For example a feature to quickly add in a product without having to open the app would be great. Or to retrieve products expiring this week so that I can add those products into an external to-do app (I use Things 3 to manage tasks so having an automation in place to add a task like “Throw out apples” would be awesome!).
    * Widgets to display stock levels. Having a widget on my phone would let me quickly see what’s expiring or low-stock.
    * Favorite items. Marking an item as a favorite and then having a view to see the stock levels of favorited items would be helpful.
    * Having a task to review expiring inventory. Perhaps a push notification to remind me it’s time to review/throw our expiring items.

These additional features could also be a paid subscription service. To automate some of my tasks, I would pay ~5-10 bucks a month so adding in these features could also increase revenue.
