  • When in Austin...

... ride like an Austinite with this local non profit ride app. Why spend your money on the bad guys (who don't pay their fare share of taxes) when you can help fund local animal shelters etc with this “same thing” alternative. Same prices as far as I can tell.
  • Truly Austin

Love this app. Reliable and has the best drivers. Always fun to ride with one. They were here when Uber and Lyft left as they couldn't get their way with the city. RideAustin is truly Austin and gives back to the city through donations etc. The rates might be a little higher than Uber but that's because they pay their drivers better whereas Uber and all pay less than peanuts and only get away with because of the market they have captured. Just ask any driver. I'd rather ride with RideAustin knowing that the drivers are happy with the ride as well. And it shows in the way they talk and drive you around the city.
  • Better than the big apps!

Ride Austin is always fairly priced, the drivers are really nice, and the app responsiveness is great! If you’re in Austin, skip the big guys and ride local!
  • Thank you!

Ride Austin always delivers and I feel better knowing I am supporting a company that supports its drivers. I always choose Ride Austin over the “other guys”! Keep up the great work!😀
  • Great service and drivers, but terrible app

Too many notifications after the ride is complete. There should be an option to cut down on these. I don't need to be reminded three times that my ride is over and I need to rate my ride. Also, not sure why the app actively uses the GPS during the ride while I'm using other apps while Uber/Lyft does not need to.

Other than that, I'm glad it exist. I continue to use it because of the drivers and to support the local business. They had my back when the big two left town. So I'll continue to patronize them as long as the app is functional.
  • Very satisfied

Everything went flawlessly using this service and it was nice to support this local and charity minded alternative. The only improvement would be a more precise current location detection- it often gave a rather broad range of addresses; in this sense it was quite useful to be able to message the driver as to where to pick us up. They felt this was very helpful to them as well.
  • App constantly crashes

Great drivers! but buggy AF app. Constantly freezes, crashes, and won’t let me cancel when it does. Was recently charged 50$ for a ride when the driver never even made it to me to pick me up (lost and was told my location was in an entirely different part of town.) I can find a customer service contact number within the app for this company to ask for a refund on top of this.. shame I love local biz and the round up feature. Time to invest in better tech.
  • Better than Uber or Lyft

I love this app and Im surprised it doesn't have more ratings. Faster and better than all other rideshare apps, and you're supporting Austin community.
  • Best ride share in Austin

Keep Austin self-sustainable by supporting our home grown and extremely well run ride share. It’s equal if not better than the national ride share brands like uber. As a non-profit, they charge the rider equal for rides to national brands, but they pay their drivers significantly more, which leads to much better rides. No need to use the National brands when your in Austin. ☮️
  • Only way to go in Austin!

Skip the other options and go with Ride Austin. They treat their employees well and give to charity. We were so glad we found this option on a recent trip!
