  • Horrible morning service

The driver arrival time is actually twice as long or more than the estimated arrival time. Your ride will get cancelled and the wait time starts all over again with no warning or reason. Driver estimated a 19 minute arrival, after 10 minutes he was still in the same spot at the airport and the wait time still said 19 min, and 19 minutes was not even a realistic time to begin with. This has happened more than once. I reported problems previously with unannounced cancellations and changes of drivers and wait times. Never heard back. Do not use this service if you need to be anywhere on time.
  • The best, I recommend to all my friends

Uber & Lyft lost me when they got their panties in a wad over fingerprinting their drivers. Ride Austin stepped up, is a local non-profit, with your permission rounds up your fare to a charity of your choice, and I haven’t yet stepped into a sketchy car with a sketchier driver. If I wanted that, I’d use Uber or Lyft. Don’t waste your money on any of the other snotty ride shares. Let the out of towners use them.
  • Glad we tried RideAustin.

Last night when we told our son that we would Taxi from the airport he suggested RideAustin. We got the app and everything went well. We will use RideAustin several times during this stay and for future stays.
  • Pretty good app

Doesn’t recognize airport addresses very well or provide a guaranteed fare (very important to me) and wait time is slight longer, but my cost was pretty close to the estimate (in little or no traffic) and was less than both Uber and Lyft.
  • Sadly, no longer reliable

RideAustin used to be great. I liked that it was a local coop, rather than a predatory corporation. But my last four rides have all had problems. Drivers claiming that they were waiting, when they weren’t. Drivers accepting the rides and then just not coming to pick me up. Drivers trying to up charge me. I’m done.
  • Support Local Business

I’ve used this app a couple times now and it works on par with other major ride share apps, which is actually saying a lot. There are a few bugs, but it’s overall a great app experience. The service is great as well, but that’s a separate thing to review altogether.
  • Much better than Uber and lyft because it’s cheaper, safer and all money goes to drivers .

  • Half the price of Lyft

I arrived at the airport around midnight. When I went to my lyft app to get a ride it was going to be $42 for a ride home (my ride there a week before was considerably less) I decided to explore my options and downloaded the Ride Austin app. My ride home cost $21 - I waited a tad longer for my ride to pick me up but definitely didn’t mind waiting for a few extra moments to save $20. They are also donating proceeds to some excellent non-profits and the drivers pocket nearly all the fare. I feel much better about supporting a business that supports it’s community and it’s workers. I’m choosing Ride Austin for my next trip
  • Cheaper than the competitors and better for drivers

I like the app. The fares are reasonable and Ride Austin has more integrity than other ride apps.
  • Saturday night

Fast service but initially did not locate us in the exact location for pick up.
