It’s basically an Uber/Lfyt type group. All of my drivers drove for the others as well. Seemed more expensive. There is a set up fee each time. One driver got lost and what should have been a 2 block drive (I the pouring down rai ) ended up being several miles long. I got stuck with the bill. There was no response to my customer service review.MisSandollar
Location issue
The driver was great, but the app was not able to let us reset our location so we had to drive 9 miles to the place where we had said we were going to be. This definitely needs to be fixed.HamIAm
Some drivers are scammers
I want to love Ride AUSTIN but so far only bad experiences. First try: waited for minutes & no driver assigned. Finally canceled ride & took a competitor. Second try: assigned driver “Dilli” in a black suburban with a 15 min eta appearing to come from a couple of miles south of me. Driver headed in opposite direction from my location, drove to airport (some 40 minutes from me) and sat there. I called. I texted. No response. I canceled the ride & contacted Ride Austin- so far no response. Found a Reddit thread saying this is a scam from drivers to collect the cancellation fee.

Great alternative to Uber and Lyft that gives more $ to the drivers and treats them with greater respect. If you are in Austin, why would you not only use this rideshare program. Keep the money local and keep Austinites more flush with cash as the cost of living creeps up.jcaras

Babatunde was very pleasant to talk to and having arrived nearly 3am in the morning made me feel safe and comfortable with my choice to try the Ride Austin service for the first time. Old charge
Really disappointed in the Ride Austin team. I used the Ride Austin app back in 2016. Was a little clunky because it was new, but it was the only option at that time. Fast forward to February of 2019 and I see a Ride Austin charge come through my bank account. I reach out to the Ride Austin asking them what gives. And they tell me I had a charge that did not go through back in 2016...yes 2016! I said I had three other charges go through at the same time after I reviewed with my bank, so how do I know this one didn't go through? They sent me a screen shot of their system showing it didn't go through. At this point its not even about the amount of the charge (it was pretty small), its the principal and business practice of charging someone from 2.5 years ago when you made the mistake and never reached out and explained the situation before running a charge that was sure to make me ask the question. At this point, you should have just let it go. When I come to Austin, I wont use Ride Austinlc325sd

WRONG ADDRESSES!
This app frequently changes addresses after the correct address has been put in. I’ve had one ride canceled because the driver had a different address for pick up than I had put in. It also has a different address for my home and work than I have entered for default. I have deleted the wrong address several times, or tried to, but it is always there and often comes up when I enter home. This needs to be fixed! So I’m giving it three stars when it could be five, because it’s a great one other respects.eltegee

Had the app for awhile and honestly was great! a lot cheaper than Uber, plus being local was major for me. Anyways, recently just haven’t had the best service drivers keep switching or canceling rides, one even made my wife feel uncomfortable. You guys should seriously look more into you’re drivers backgrounds. Sorry but the past couple rides have made drop y’all services. Never using ride Austin again.Parca13
