Huge delays, buses not coming, misleading all
Dear Stagecoach,
I am not sure how I can express my frustration better for this bus service provider, but I will try to be concise and to the point as follows: (1) an extremely large proportion of the buses have big delays; (2) more importantly, there is an appreciable proportion of buses not showing up; (3) the mobile phone app provides misleading information (due to which you may be left stranded on a bus stop waiting for even an hour, because you been given to believe that a bus is coming, while it is not); (4) there is not an efficient way (from the behalf of the company) to notice their customers for elements 1 and 2, above. Even the electronic boards, placed in some (but not all) of the bus stops they may provide incorrect and misleading information (same thing with Element 3, above).
There are a lot of people complaining about the above, same way I did, but there is no action that has been taken in a way that things have been improved up to today. On the other hand, the company (you) always puts it to various external factors for the low quality of services, which feels to a lot of people that do not want to admit share of the responsibility.
I hope something happens quickly, because I do not think is fair to pay for a bus service of the above quality and never admit you have a share in this problematic situation.

Better tracking updates needed
This app is very unreliable which is never acceptable for a service people pay for. Please update the tracking systems.
Has the potential to be good…
See, the problems here are twofold; the app itself is NOT optimised and even when it’s just left in the background it eats battery like a horse that’s got into the feed shed. But that could be forgiven if it would just stop being so completely random with bus times!
The 79 is coming at quarter past. No, half past. No actually it’s the 300 now and the 79 is coming at quarter past again. Now it’s twenty past and it still says due at quarter past and oh now it’s gone from the screen entirely! Find the 79 on the road and tap on it and hey it says it’ll get there at half past. Except it doesn’t. The 79 doesn’t actually exist anymore but there is another one in forty-five minutes… maybe.
How about instead of live tracking, it just ticks off the stops it’s already done? Less data to mess up then, and then you know it’s definitely coming and you’re not just following a inexistent dot on the screen!

Ok-ish App, Horrific Service
Stagecoach’s app is alright. Arrival times are always different depending on whether you look at the bus or the stop, which is confusing.
The actual service, on the other hand, is easily the worst I have ever seen from any company (in general—not just transit). In the morning, arrival times are fairly accurate and the bus comes as expected. Afternoon and evening service is horrible. On two separate occasions, I’ve been left without a bus outside in the cold wind and rain for over an hour; once for an hour and a half, and once this evening for *two and a half hours*!!! It’s gotten me home after dark when it’s no longer safe for me to walk home alone. Major safety issue for me. The second time, this was only solved because I eventually found a taxi, and the bus still had not arrived; It passed in the opposite direction three times in the opposite direction and didn’t return. The one that *did* come the right way—which the app said would stop at my stop—drove right by with the “out of service” sign on.
I’m planning on finding an alternative so I never have to use this service again. I already have fairly limited free time due to my job, and I really can’t afford to spend hours of it waiting for buses that don’t come on time—if at all.

Did not track bus. Did not report cancellation (fellow passenger advised of cancellation). Times differ from station timetable
Terrible app!!!
By where I live there’s only one service that’s ran by Stagecoach which is the a9 in Solihull.
When I try and pull up the timetables for that bus it says nothing expected or no service from this stop try another operator but there’s only this one bus that stops at 5 stops along two roads then another bus from another operator joins further along the road and then when you go further a field some times it says there’s a bus coming and then other times it doesn’t.
If I go onto the website where am I meant to look as I don’t come under Warwickshire or any other county that’s listed as I’ve never been able to find the timetable for it.
Then as for TfWM they need to sort out the timetables on the bus stops on this route as there is bus stops missing, no information in the some of the bus stops along the route which some of the drivers say they won’t stop there as there’s no bus on the one side but there is on the opposite so it’s a long walk back which I’ve reported to TfWM about.

Won’t accept foreign cards
Unable to purchase a ticket with a foreign card, even with Apple Pay. (Nothing happens when I tap the PayPal button.)
Hate the constant pop-up
I absolutely HATE the constant pop up when I am trying to search the map for locations and buses. Plus, as I am typing this review, nothing is showing of my typing so I have no clue if it will show..
Tickets purchased never show up
Due to the trains stopping until spring 2024 in the Valleys, I’ve had to start using buses to get to work. Twice I’ve purchased tickets on the app and twice they’ve taken the money and then given me an error message on the app and the tickets just come up as “pending” and I’m unable to download them and ended up buying another ticket on the bus. There’s no live chat where you can speak to someone to resolve this, you have to go onto the stagecoach website and fill out a contact form that takes 2-3 days for someone to actually get back to you. Last week I was charged £24 for my ticket on the 27th June and didn’t actually get my ticket until 29th June and had to purchase day riders on the bus instead for those two days at £7 each. The same has happened again yesterday, purchased the ticket on the app and ended up having to pay on the bus again anyway as it gave me an error and the pending ticket again that couldn’t be downloaded.

Shockingly bad app & an even worse service
Stagecoach very loosely stick to there schedules either turning up early or late, never on time. The app is full of bugs and doesn’t work 90% of the time. With buses not even showing on the app majority of the time.. also the amount of times the bus has been ‘running late’ in the village before me and gives an updated ETA. I only live round the corner from the bus stop so I would leave according to the new ETA given on the app. I have since learnt to ignore this as they end up turning up earlier or later then advised, if at all. The amount of buses that get cancelled without a warning also, which doesn’t help when your first and only bus to get you to work on time just doesn’t turn up. Just a terrible app and a terrible service. Would not recommend relying on the app or Stagecoach for getting to work or to school/uni as you’ll likely end up late or have to arrange something else.
