Ai answers question about deleting more than one email at a time

Based on the help documents provided, there are no instructions for deleting multiple emails at once on iOS. The steps provided are for removing an account from Canary on iOS, but do not cover bulk email deletion.

Since the help documents do not contain information to accurately answer how to delete multiple emails at a time on iOS, I do not have enough information to provide an answer. I apologize that I cannot assist further with this query. Let me know if you have any other questions about Canary on iOS that I can help answer using the help documents provided.

Also, additionally, on iOS, I was not able to get out of the copilot ai help and had to kill the app and reopen to get back to main screen. I'm on a trial but not impressed enough to spend money on it yet. Other options available. Other ones seem to be working better for less yearly money.

Such a great app

Omg if I had the money I would purchase this! This app truly rocks and understands AI.

It’s just so nice to use compared to many email apps out there

The best

I experimented with various email applications including Spark and Spike, and ultimately found Canary to be the most satisfying, leading me to buy its lifetime package.

Two Major Things Need Fixed

Edit: It would seem like they fixed the iPad issue. Very quickly after I posted my review actually so it seems like Canary are listening. I would like to request a slider for the iPad app that makes it so we can adjust the sidebar and email viewer size. Right now as it stands it is a little too big and I want to be able to view my email a little more. The native mail app is a better size imo but there could be a middle ground. Two things are really bogging down my experience. The first is when I delete an email, leave the app, and a then eventually come back, the email is still there and I’m given an error message. It needs to continue in the background and move my email to the trash. The second is the iPad app. When I come back to the app after some time the ability to have my inbox on the left and email I’m viewing on the right disappears. It turns into the iPhone app where I need to hit back and then tap into another email. It’s wasting so much space this way and is super frustrating. Will update once these are fixed.

Notification

Notification issues, no notifications coming in for inbound emails

So much potential

This could easily be my favourite email app if it just was so unreliable. It has amazing features like unsubscribe button and ai summarise but it falls flat in terms of usability

- syncing emails between devices is extremely delayed and makes this hard to use for more than device

- some emails with outlook just straight up won’t load, if you open an email thread and click on some of the items of the thread there will just be blank

- notifications about a new email is really quick, faster than the mail app. But if you open that notification the app just goes insane trying to sync everything and most of the time you won’t even see that email you were notified about until you pull to refresh

I understand the recent interest in AI is forcing the market to move fast but there is so much neglect that all the ai features become pointless if I can’t open an email on my device

Loads forever

When there is a notification, it takes a while for it to open and load which ideally should not be the case.

If the app was not closed then it’s on the last opened mail for a few second and then the new mail opened via notification shows itself. Uninstalling the app as I now realize this is why I deleted the app the first time I tried this.

Only the very best

Over the years, I’ve tried so many apps - Apple mail, outlook, gmail, newton, superhuman etc. but Canary has just been the solution I’ve been looking for with its intuitive UI and many features that build onto the native features of mail apps, it’s just so good. SecureSend has been great as well, and I don’t even have to worry about if the person on the other end uses Canary! Very well done team, keep it up!

Full of features but not recommended

UI is fine but too many issues after months of trying. Used with one Google Workspace account and then 365 to compare. Finally had to give Canary up.

Primary problems:

1. Unreliable notification interactions lead to a barrage of alerts when switch back to the app. Failed to move message alerts for delete and archive. Canary support says the app has to be running but it is. It’s just in the background, where it has permissions to run. Any other app can do this. I just stopped interacting with the notifications altogether.

2. Composing an email and then sending means waiting, even with the delay disabled. If you switch to another app, you’ll get a notification to open the app because it’s still sending. I’ve sent replies only to find out hours later that it hadn’t sent them.

3. Crashes. More on Mac than iOS but enough that I don’t have time to submit tickets for each.

4. Laggy. Loading, deleting, refreshing. Weirdly, iOS notifications are fast but in-app, you can sit and watch your mail get shuffled around.

5. Apple Watch app has no complications.

6. The AI features are bloat. They’re unpredictable and take more time to finesse than actually doing it yourself. Luckily you can turn them off.

If this mail client had the same performance as the brand apps for Google and Microsoft but with the Canary UX, I’d be happy.

Can't justify it anymore. Overpriced.

There is a plethora of ways for users to send and receive encrypted/private messages, and I cannot see how email is truly a viable, everyday option anymore. Specially at this price point, when all users need is minimal information.
