I’ve never written a review before however I’ve come here specifically to review this app and COMPANY more than anything.
Firstly, there are no alerts. Your card will stop working and they will not alert you. They claim entire countries are blocked as they are “high risk areas” but you’ll notice often you can make 1 or 2 payments in that country before your card is blocked. There is no knowing when or why they block you. And no alert. I’ve been blocked in Australia, Canada, Fiji, Zambia etc etc; you walk into a store and immediately get nervous your card will decline. Mine has done so NUMEROUS times including the last two days trying to get home and being unable to pay for my car rental or hotel or even get lunch. No alert. When you call they tell you your card isn’t blocked you just need to try a different ATM/store as you’re in a high risk area (how am I supposed to know what isn’t a high risk area when it is all random and unspecified!!!???? Do I just start aimlessly trying different places hoping it’ll work????) or they’ll say to transfer money to your bank account (which obviously isn’t always a feasible solution AT ALL because most bank transfers take 3-5 business days). It’s a mess.
The app doesn’t show you all transactions made on your card. 3 weeks ago someone made over 10 fraudulent transactions from my card in New York. Several of those didn’t come up on the app and when I made my dispute it was the dispute team that picked up on there being more transactions from the same address. Mind you, the card had just been replaced and never been used.
The system for leaving a query is slow and often to no avail. I’ve had incredibly frustrating instances of lodging a complaint through the app, waiting 2 days to get a response, responding to the customer care agent, and then on the brink of getting somewhere with the query I start getting automated replies that aren’t from a real person. And then the following day a different person messages you with absolutely no recollection of your original query.
I am telling you, this is the worst service I’ve ever had to deal with. WORST. As I speak my card hasn’t been working for 2 days. This was often the case in Australia. I’ve had to leave work shoes, groceries, medicine behind because the card just stops working. Absolute HEADACHE.
