Why do they need so much personal information?

Signed up and account was immediately blocked. FYI I do not leave personal details like home address, birthday, etc. with loyalty apps because they don’t need it. In the days of paper cards you didn’t even have to leave your name!

Never had such trouble with any other loyalty app, and I have dozens including from other famous coffee chains.

So Yoyowallet is obviously doing other stuff with your personal data besides “loyalty” and for this reason Caffe Nero will not have my loyalty.

Okay but click and collect could be better

The app is generally ok, what lets it down is the click and collect experience.

Often you’ll find stores which are open are offline despite being open and when you make an order you have to wait for the store to accept the order. Twice I’ve placed an order to find the store failed to accept it and therefore it’s automatically been declined, this is an awkward experience when you turn up at the store expecting your order to be ready.

When your order goes to declined you apparently don’t get charged, however on both occasions I had my order declined I had used Vitality reward vouchers. These are never returned to your wallet if your order is declined and so when I’ve turned up at the store I’ve not only had to order again, but have been unable to use the Vitality voucher as it’s been marked as “used”.

Love the Nero at Melrose

Great customer service. My daughter dropped her binkie and they cleaned it for her and packed it nicely and gave it to me as I was leaving. Such nice people!
Also their mocha frappe is the best!

Small suggestion

Easy to use app and my only suggestion is sending notifications when orders are ready.

App is good but the stores aren’t educated to take it…

I’ve got these vouchers from this new app. Out of the 50% of my visit with mobile orders, I either had my drink missing caramel pumps or the people missed my orders. I think there is some improvement to be done so they know when to look at the tablet. That wasted my 10 minutes waiting inside while it should’ve been quick and easy. They aren’t really busy at store.

Blocked account as soon as signed up

And now customer service is insisting on asking a bunch of intrusive private information. Bottom line, their customer service is making sure they are not helpful and won’t unblock anything. This is a really weird situation. Yoyo wallet team - never again. I wouldn’t trust them with any information now.

Account is blocked upon signup

This is a terrible user experience. The app is promoted in the store to download and once I did so my account was blocked immediately. The barista said this happens to everyone who downloads the app so why even bother advertising it in the store? So strange.

New Apo, Lost All Stamps

Stopped by Nero today to use my free coffee after collecting 10 stamps. Found that the app I had been using was no longer valid and the new one needs a new registration. All my stamps - gone.

Rude staff at Bexleyheath branch

We arrived at the branch at 5.20 yesterday. The shop is due to close at 5.30 but all the chairs etc had been taken In and though the shop door was open one member of staff was cleaning the floor, the other was behind the till. We asked if we could just get a take away, we were told no as the coffee machine was off and she was rude and abrupt, verging on aggressive. We said we’d take our money and custom elsewhere to a shop that had polite staff. Starbucks won our custom and the staff member was lovely! Either the shop closes at 5.30 or not. You don’t close 10 mins early. And to be frank, it looked like they’d closed earlier. You close on time then you clean down. On questioning this rude young lady said: we’re allowed to close 10 mins early. Really? So don’t advertise you close at 5.30. We’d have gone elsewhere. I love the coffee at Nero and am a loyal customer. I work in central London and use the shop at Charing Cross and the one on Bedford St. The staff are nice, polite and to be honest, make better coffee. The coconut flat white I order at Bexleyheath always tastes weak but not at the others. I spend a lot in your shops as it’s one of the most expensive chains, as does my husband. I do not expect to spoken at like we were yesterday.
