Animals having bad reactions to scents
After the first day of trying the dispenser, we found our animals, dogs and cat, had bad reactions. So we lowered the scents to lower levels on intensity and less time during the day, but they still caused issues with our animals. The Citrus caused sneezing. The Lavender scent made them lethargic and acting very strange. We became concerned. I believed the scents would be safe for our animals. Instead, I had to turn off the Pura.
I love my animals, so I have to stop using Pura. I have to return my Pura & scents. I found out after much investigative research disappointing information about ingredients of the scents, I noticed per animal websites they contained known toxic oils, for example pine. And, some of the ingredients might not be listed. Hopefully in the future you will develop a scent or two that have ingredients I can trust. Scents that say all ingredients are ASPCA approved. Scents where I do not have to do an investigative dive to find information on, and definitely state their scent profile contains scents safe for households that have cats and dogs. Until that time, I will have to live without Pura.

Too many glitches
The second major issue is that it won’t recognize my fragrance in the first bay, even after it recognized it initially. Once it stopped recognizing it, I scanned the smart vinyl manually. The app recognized the scent, but when I insert the scent into the first base lot, the diffuser will not recognize it, even though I am 100% certain it is inserted correctly and fully. Frustrating! Too many issues for trying this product for the very first time!
Only smell right by diffuser
Both scents are supposed to be strong. I tried increasing the intensity from 4 to 6 and finally to 8. The only noticeable effect is that now almost all of each of the very expensive vials of scents is gone.
The one star is for good customer service. Because I was interested in trying a few other scents, before I realized this product doesn’t really work, I ordered two other vials of scent. Upon receipt I discovered one was obviously leaking.
I emailed support and pretty quickly received a response with instructions to receive a replacement.
I looked at and performed all of the troubleshooting steps. The diffuser seems to be heating, it is not near any vents, drafts or doors and both scents are described as “strong.” So, my only conclusion is I could have just kept using the store bought, much cheaper plug ins because for so much less money and hassle they at least worked.
I was drawn to trying Pura because I wanted nice scents from a simple device that would scent a large area. This one is described as scenting up to 400 sq feet. I’m getting maybe 20.
I need to search to see if I can just return this very disappointing item that is clearly not working as advertised.

I’m Obsessed with Pura
I get so many compliments on how good my house smells. Even my four year old nephew told me my house smelled good. That’s impressive! I did have a local candle company create a custom candle that matches my favorite Pura scent, Bamboo, and when I burn the candle and and the Pura at the same time, it makes my entire house smell amazing!

Smells Great but this App Needs Work
Year later, still no timer
App is Ruining Product!
The device constantly goes “offline” when I try to make any adjustment— I’m always a few feet (or less) from the device; the schedule feature is rudimentary and clunky (I couldn’t set it for both scents; I couldn’t remove it without resetting the device); and the time feature is not accurate (I unplugged the device, yet the timer continued).
Although I was eager to try other scents in the collection, I’m hesitant to sink more money into this product. It shouldn’t be this complicated or frustrating to fragrance your surroundings.
