  • Graphs/Trends could be better

I wish the trend line or graphs would be better designed and more readily adjustable

  • this version is better than the new one

Generally I like the scales and I like the app
My gripe is that the numbers under the graph are too small to read on an iphone. It’s not possible to increase the size so i rarely use it.
I will look at alternative systems that have better information screens.

  • Love it

im very sad to know that has been discontinued. The substitute app does not het even close to this one.
  • Why!!

I have just been forced to transfer to your other app because you say this one is outdated! Well the other app is rubbish especially for iPad users! Why on earth have you now forced us to transfer to the other app which is clumsy to navigate and is not at all user friendly! I will be looking for another company with a decent app to pair with their scales as yours has now become virtually unuseable! Not at all happy with your company now whereas before I thought you were great!

Dear customer, I understand that the new app doesn't meet your expectations. Please accept our deepest apologies. As you can see from the new APP, we have the product category of Health/Wellness/Fitness. In the past, we received complaints that they needed to install multiple Apps to manage the data when they have multiple products of different kinds. So we integrate more products into the new APP, and the UI seems to be a little different from the Renpho APP. It's more convenient for users because they can manage their data in one APP. It may just take a little time to get used to the new app, and we will do our best to make the new app better and better. If you think any feature in the new APP is not good, could you please kindly let me(support@renpho.com) know in detail? We will forward your suggestion to the technical department to re-evaluate it. Your suggestion is valuable to us and helps us to be better. We value customers' suggestions so much and bringing a user-friendly APP is Renpho's vision. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Again, sorry for the inconvenience caused. Sincerely, Customer Service Team
  • Like this app, please do not force users to switch to Renpho health app

I like this app but not the Renpho health app. At some point this app gave a pop up message asking me to switch to the other app. The pop up message is annoying to have to close all the window and I don’t like the other app, I like this one. It’s driving me crazy where I am now considering getting a new scale from a competitor just because I don’t like using Renpho health app and this app is almost not working anymore , it’s just so frustrating it asks me everytime I use it to switch. Please let the users who enjoy this app to continue using it without the annoying prompts to change apps

  • Fine, but can’t graph a curve

As other users have pointed out, regardless of the length of time between measurements, the space on the x axis remains the same. As someone tracking their weight loss post op, my surgeon and medical team are unable to see the steepness of the curve, rendering it not very useful as you can’t see the speed and rate at which you lose weight. I note others providing this feedback and the app developer responding - and they don’t appear to understand this feedback. It would be a great app if it could pitch a curve with an accurate x axis. Looking for another app to manually enter my data into so myself and my doctor can monitor my weight loss. EDIT: For the Renpho tape measure, the app does not tell you how much you have lost. If there is a function, it doesn’t do it automatically and is not user friendly. I’ve been fiddling with it for 30 mins and still can’t do it. You need to manually calculate length lost yourself.

Dear Tamasin, thank you for your feedback. We understand that you would like the trends to be displayed with an accurate X-axis for more convenient observation of changes. We will forward this suggestion to our team for evaluation. Thank you for your support. Best regards, Renpho Customer Service Team.
  • Horribly inaccurate

Had my body fat tested professionally and it was 50% higher than Renpho. It’s only good for tracking weight.

    Developer Response

Dear customer, Please be informed that our scales use bio-electrical impedance analysis(BIA) technology to offer you the data. The data obtained by BIA bio-electric measurement is closely related to the following parameters: body impedance coefficient/height/weight/age/gender. Please make sure your profile was set correct. Currently, there are several popular methods other than BIA for measuring fat percentage. The two methods widely considered the “gold standard” are weighing in water and DEXA (Dual Energy X-ray Absorption method). However, even these two methods also often present discrepancies. That’s because fat is a special and complex tissue in the human body. It includes subcutaneous fat, visceral fat, and others, and is widely present in various parts of the body. Household body fat scale manufacturers mostly use the BIA measurement method. It is suggested that users do not concern about the difference of the values between different devices, but rather focus on relative changes in the value measured under the same situation over long periods of time. Sticking with the same assessment system will likely yield a better overall picture of a person's health status. The relative changes of value is more meaningful than the absolute value of a single measurement. f the problem still persists or if you require further assistance, kindly contact us at support@renpho.com. • Money well spent

Perfect for tracking your progress on your weight gain or loss journey
  • Not as convenient as it used to be

This app used to be great but it looks like they’ve removed a feature a few updates back that has made using this app very inconvenient. In the past, you could weigh yourself without having to open the app on your phone and the data would automatically transfer onto it the next time that you open it with the scale nearby. Now, the app will not receive the data unless you open it on your phone while you are weighing yourself. This means you can no longer queue your measurements like before. You have to bring your phone with you into the bathroom, open the app up, and then weigh yourself for the measurement to go through.

I have ran the bluetooth anomaly detection with no abnormalities. I even removed and then added my scale back to the app to see if that would fix it but it’s still the same. I don’t think the issue is with the scale because it reads the measurement like normal and it still sends the data to the app when you open it on your phone. It’s just that the app is not accepting any measurements that are queued like it used to. Please bring back this feature in your next update!

    Developer Response

Dear customer, We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. The scale can be used in 2 ways: 1. You can use the scale with the app open and have the scale synced with your phone. The measurements are uploaded to the app immediately. 2. You can use the scale without your phone. The scale can store 10 measurements. When you open the app turn on the Bluetooth and GPS(for Andriod) and wake up the scale next time, the stored data will be uploaded to your account automatically. Please do not take the batteries out(or press the reset button) before you sync the measurements to your account, otherwise, the data stored in the scale will be lost. Tips: 1. Please measure barefoot and wait for the scale to auto-shut off (about 15 seconds) before stepping off. 2. Please ensure Bluetooth and GPS(For Android) are enabled on your phone; otherwise, the scale will not connect with your phone even if you open the app. It is suggested that you open the app and connect the scale with your phone when you weigh every time, so the measurements can be synced to your phone in real time. If the data measured without your phone cannot sync to the app, please contact us via email (support@renpho.com)Sincerely, Customer Service Team
