  • Almost perfect

The paint by color is awesome, the paint by model slightly less so (really it depends on if that's how you plan on painting your guys).

But the one thing that would make the app perfect is if you added a log that you could add and list your personal paint schemes for how you are painting your own models, because not everyone is going to use the "official" paint schemes, and it would be awesome to be able to add your own so you can log the paints used to keep a consistent look for any new models you add later.

  • Great app

I will make this quick because we'd all rather be painting right? Keeping track of your paints is awesome. The paint guide and color match is great. Video links are a nice touch. The one thing I would suggest is a way to create a custom template. So basically a way to save your own paint recipe if you are like me and like to create your own color schemes fairly often. Preferably inserting your own info into the already existing template. And maybe a sharing social aspect, as in you can photograph and break down your paint scheme and share it with others in an open app forum. There's my two cents. Thanks for the app. I've been waiting for a better resource.

  • Excellent app!

This app has saved me a lot of time searching for coloring charts of their system online! I know it's really only useful if you use their line of paints, but this app has already saved me time in searching for how to layer my paints effectively. Looking forward to more of their models being released with painting guides and the time I'll save painting!

  • Some observations

Amazing app! I love that Duncan's video tutorials are included in the menus. I love that the paints are itemized for each miniature. That being said, I'm using the iPhone 6+, and none of the sound works.

Also, why is the only visual example of the painting template a jet pack? It's helpful, don't get me wrong; but it doesn't help me very much when I'm trying to paint a Hive Tyrant or Pox Walker when the only thing you get for reference is how you'd apply the paint on a jet pack.

Also, since the app released early, is the eligibility for the giveaway effected?

  • Great, thorough app

This is a great little app that seems to cover painting from all sides. The only thing I would like to see changed would be for the examples to be actual models rather than the detailed examples just showing jump packs. I understand that it helps to save space by not having pictures of all the individual models, but it would be nice to see something rather than only jump packs with detail.

  • Great tool for new and seasoned alike

This app is great to identify and test colour schemes before applying them to a model. It has also renewed my children's interests in the hobby as they can clearly see the end result of a scheme and whether we have a paint or need to purchase it prior to undertaking a project.
There are plenty of colour effects and combinations that I never thought I'd apply as it looked too hard, but this app has shown how easy it can be.
The inclusion of base painting helps to identify which bases will compliment the chosen colour palette.

  • In The Grim Darkness of The App Store

In the Grim darkness of the App Store amongst heretic softwares and Xeno-apps the light of the Citadel Painting App shines brightly. For in Humanity's Darkest hour one App stood against the Tide of micro payments and poor graphical interfaces. It shines the wisdom of humanity's greatest painters and lifts us from amongst ashes of the past.

  • 10/10 highly recommend

I love this app! It helps me get good detail and shading into my models. I highly recommend this to anyone who is not the best at painting miniatures. I would be better if they where even more miniatures to look at in the app. Please add some eldar to the list since I play with eldar. Otherwise a really good app

  • Make it easier to get back into painting

I'm a lapsed player from the 90s who returned to 40k gaming a few years ago by getting a few pre-painted models. I was always interested in restarting painting my own models, but it was a bit daunting since I'm not a natural artist and the paint range is now completely different. I've just downloaded this app and it instantly solves my problem by making it absolutely clear what the techniques are and how the paints and brush choices interact. I now feel ready to "give it a go" once again. The only request I would make for 5-star is: Can we have a few more faction colour schemes and example models? My particular interest is Biel-Tan Eldar (assuming they survive in the new Codex), since Dark Angels are already covered. I'm sure other folks would have similar requests for their factions. I appreciate that it takes time to pull quality content together, so this is not a gripe. Thanks for this.

  • Great Start

This is a great start for painting. Are there some things to work yes, but it's version 1 so we can wait to see how much better it will get. I wish they would have waited and got more Legion or dynasty specific army's to be more encompassing but this is still awesome for painting enthusiasts. It would have also been nice to have more videos centered around specific factions and less generic videos. But I love the inventory and wishlist and getting to look up different color sets is amazing. Great start. Can't wait to see the first update.
